I've been here a few times now, and it's not bad.
I always make sure I book as they are always busy or short-staffed.
The welcome isn't warm or friendly, just perfunctory. The place is clean. When you are seated, it takes a while before they come over for drinks orders.
The food is always nice and well presented.
Again, it takes a while before anyone comes over to clear plates and get the bill, but as I said, they are usually busy or short staffed.
Pizza Express is always a good safe bet, though when you're with the kids

Amazing service and awesome food. Joanna made our daughters 10th birthday celebration a real blast. Highly recommend Walton Pizza Express!!

We ordered two pizzas and they were so small. We went to another pizza shop to get more real pizza! So small and not even real italian dough.. just fancy atmosphere and brand ..

Went in for lunch with my daughter and granddaughter, had a nice lunch but they put pizza on a cold plate that also had a lip on it so not a flat surface then expected you to cut it yourself pizza was cold in a few minutes and very chewy! No salt and pepper on the table and everything lacked seasoning . Asked for extra garlic butter for the hard cold pizza crust / bases and they charged for a tiny pot that was not even full. Won't go there again.

Was initially let down for a birthday booking at a different restaurants so I attended Pizza express in Walton. Lovely manager called Kinga was very hospitable to my group and seated us in good part of the restaurant.
We managed to get good deals for food and happy birthday was even sung to me!
Thank you once again Kinga and all the team, it was a wonderful experience

Had very hot dough balls. Never had them this great before, always been warmish. The pizza was cooked and hot. Staff very quick. Paid via the new app which was hilarious but got there, eventually. Drinks great. Had a chocolate brownie cake to share. Still gets noisy when busy. New decor looks good

I went to pizza express Walton today. I ordered food with a brilliant waitress, then the dough balls arrived as a starter alongside water and a Coke Zero, when I ate the dough balls there was relatively large pieces of what looked like china inside one that I didn?t realize till I ate and swallowed some. I showed the waitress the part I spat out who said they?d get there manager, who came over and after seeing a chunk of china told me that I could have the portion of china infused dough balls for free (they were already free as a pizza express member) and charged me for the coke that I didn?t get a chance to drink. I have autism and therefore sensory issues so lost my appetite and couldn?t stomach lunch anymore and was met with begrudgement about cancelling the mains rather than the understanding I expected. This ruined my meal out and I was disappointed. I would be cautious of health and safety standards at this particular pizza express.

Had a lasagne which was delicious and a chicken milanese which was good.
Kid-friendliness: They have a great kid menu.
