Good shop, decent service but it's quite shocking that they don't open on a Sunday - the day when most cyclists are out on the road needing emergency parts or servicing.

My dad took his electric bike to get the brakes fixed. The first time, my dad went near closing time to ask if it could be fixed and the staff said it would only take 40 minutes. So my dad was going to go back the next day, but this time the staff said it would take about 3 days, which was Tuesday. When my dad went to get it on Tuesday, he said it hadn't been done yet. If it was done, there would be a message and I really don't understand why you didn't send a message saying it hadn't been done or wasn't finished yet because my dad had to walk to work and walk to get the bike in this cold weather many times. Until today, 2 days later, I still haven't received a message, so I decided to go with my dad to ask if you had done it or not, If you don't have to do it yet, because we can't wait any longer, my dad has to go to work. Then the staff said it was done. So I asked when it was done. The staff said yesterday, if it was done yesterday, why didn't I get a message? If I didn't go ask myself, I wouldn't get the bike, right? Its not really funny because my dad had to wake up earlier to walk to work in this cold weather.

Not sure on how to write this review, the experience with Hoops was surreal. I paid for replacing the hydraulic oil to the brakes to my electric bike, also the brake pads. One day after using the bike the breaking noise was unbearable so I took the bike back to the shop. Hoops did what they had to do to fix the noise, however when I came back to the shop, first I was told that the brakes were not good enough for the bike, considering they are the same brand as the bike, which is top quality Dutch brand, then I was told if it happened again they would charge me, yes charge me for something that I had already paid for. Charge me for fixing something that was not done properly in the first place. Wow! no thanks Hoops, I will go somewhere else next time.

I had a tubeless puncture yesterday, and after Googlemaps sent me to two wrong bikeshop addresses, I found Hoops Walton on NZ avenue, a few minutes before they were supposed to close. Not only were they generous with their time and advice, they also made sure my tyre was topped up with a sealant compatible with whatever was left sloshing around, and tips on how to clean the mess up! Great prices for their tubeless juice, energy bar and fantastic service! Staff were superb... YOU ARE A SAVIOUR

Very good, friendly and professional service. My bike was like brand new when I received it back from a gold service I had booked. I use my bike every day and had not had it serviced in three years, so there was clearly a lot that needed doing and some parts that needed replacing. Many thanks to Dean the mechanic who took great care and did a splendid job on it
