Went to Clarks Walton for a school shoe fitting, the member of staff that served me was patient, helpful, knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure we left with just what we needed. One of the easiest and stress free children's shoe fittings we have had. Highly recommend this store.

I've been going to this Clarks for years to measure and get my my son's school shoes. Assistants have always been responsive, alert and really helpful but yesterday it was a disaster . I had Louise: the most unresponsive, unprofessional, unhelpful assistant. I appreciate they need to hire more people during this time to deal with the increased volume of people coming but management needs to provide better training and fire them if they clearly don't want to be there and are not doing their job. Normally the assistants recommend some of the shoes and when they check them they're actually looking at your child's walk to see if the fit is right . Louise was so bad at one point. I asked her what do you think? And she said I wasn't looking. What I would recommend if you find yourself in that situation is either you walk out and go to Clark's Woking or Kingston or you refuse to continue being served by someone like Louise and wait until another assistant is available . I'm saying this because that's what I should have done!

Popped in here yesterday to get some school shoes for my ten year old daughter. The micro-aggression shown to both myself and my mixed race daughter was so hostile it shocked me deeply enough to write this review. In my view, this abhorrently rude service was more than just a sales assistant having a bad day and something far more sinister.

The 1 star rating is due exclusively to the "non-existent" assistance from the blonde shop assistant present that day. I had purchased some sandals online but they were a tight fit. I wanted to try a larger size and as soon as I asked the sales assistant for the availability of half a size larger, I was told, without probably even checking on the computer, that not only did they not have it in the store, but that it actually didn't exist in the color I requested . Before leaving the store very disappointed, a young assistant made himself available to check and by looking at the computer he immediately found the existence of the size and even immediate availability in the store's warehouse. At the checkout to return the pair I bought and get the new size, there was the blonde sales assistant who not only didn't apologize, but was visibly very annoyed. Obviously I would give 5 stars to the young assistant and I am very happy with the product purchased

Extremely helpful staff who went out of their way to arrange a delivery of a pair of sale shoes when they didn't have the right size in stock. This is good old fashioned customer service, especially as we just turned up on spec after the shoes we were after were out of stock online and at an adjacent store.Well done to the team at Clarks in Walton.

My husband recently got my daughter's feet measured at Walton on Thames store and despite her feet measuring up 8.5d they sold him trainers 9g which don't fit my daughter's feet...sadly she wanted to wear them so I let her and she was tripping up, they looked very ill fitting likely because they are too wide and big. Same with school shoes, despite her not fitting the shoes of her measured size, the sale assistant sold bigger shoes that again aren't right for her feet. Not sure whether the sales assistant was inexperienced but it is disappointing service, waste of money and time.

I have been a Clark?s customer for years and always go to the Walton on Thames branch as I find the staff extremely helpful especially Emma who has helped me many times and is very knowledgable and friendly.

Very helpful staff and cheerful staff. I asked a sales advisor whether she could recommend the shoe stretcher and she said yes she actually used it and it worked. Very helpful and honest.

A really genuine and friendly staff member helped me out when I was trying to buy insoles. He was very bubbly and easy for customers to talk to because he was laughing and joking. But whilst joking, he was very knowledgable and gave me good advice. I didn't get his name but hopefully the store can identify who I am referring to.
