I use the jolly baker x3 times a week to get their granary bread ?, this bread is the absolute best, oh and I can recommend the sausage rolls ?. Definitely the best bakery in the country ?

Really disappointed in the taste of the cupcakes. The sponge is lovely but the icing has a very odd chemical taste. Definitely not how butter cream or cream cheese should taste. This was the same for the chocolate and the blue icing cakes.

This used to be the best bakery in the area under the previous ownership.
This bakery used to offer something to cater everyone from breakfast items, sweet treats, breads, a vast array of hot foods, made to order panini?s, jacket potatoes, a list of specials each day and so much more. The food was genuinely delicious and the food now is anything but.
Since the Jolly Baker have taken over, they have lost pretty much everything that made Wentworth Patisserie great.
The food on offer now is nowhere near the standard it was before. I?ve tried 3 or 4 things from their new offerings and everything I?ve tried has been sub-par and the prices seemed to have increased by 50p for most items.
I would originally go into the bakery and find something I wanted instantly, no matter whether early in the morning or over a lunch time. Now there is such a small amount of choice, I find myself standing there staring for 5 minutes and when finally finding something, being disappointed by the poor quality and taste.
The new management really should have made incremental changes and found out what worked and what didn?t before overhauling 27 years of hard work by the previous owners.
Not somewhere I will be returning to.

Long queues slow slow service.
I had to walk out when I witnessed member of staff rearranging pasties with her hands then go to make a sandwich whilst scratching her head and wiping her hand under her nose.
I had to leave.

RIP Wentworth Patisserie! New Owners have removed every aspect which made this a great spot for lunch, If you want pre packed pour quality sandwiches this is the place for you!

Don't be mislead by the previous 260 odd reviews, that was generated by the previous company - Wentworth patisserie.
Wentworth patisserie closed and the Jolly Baker now operates at the site, they have just changed the name on the Google listing.
A little naughty.... if the Jolly baker offered the same as what Wentworth Pattiserie used to then perhaps you could excuse that, but there is far less selection and actually quite disappointing as a comparison to what was there before.
There are no ready made sandwiches, wraps or salad boxes in the fridges... no jacket potatoes with filling selection... no curry and rice, no chilli and rice...no specials.... there isn't even a menu up on the wall.... Perhaps that's because there isn't much to write on it?
I would hope that the site improves it's selection of goods on offer, otherwise it's only seems fair that you start a new Google listing as its not the same company.

It's a touch misleading that the Google listing is simply Wentworth Patisserie renamed to The Jolly Baker. Jolly Baker appear to have taken over and with it the menu has changed entirely. The selection and quality has decreased. It's a shame to have lost Wentworth Patisserie.

Nice little bakery, nowhere to sit inside just a counter. Good selection of what looks like hand made/made on site items. Had a really good apple and cherry turnover. Good traditional British style bakery.

Been working round the corner and the food here is tasty, fast and efficient . They made me a tikka salad has ran low or ran out on most stuff but worth the wait. Was not disappointed. Great portion sizes ..
