I recently visited Piccolino and found the environment to be quite pleasant with a nice ambient atmosphere. However, the food didn't quite meet my expectations, considering the reputation of the place. While the service was fine, the flavours and overall quality of the dishes felt underwhelming compared to other Italian restaurants I?ve been to. Would be nice to see improvements in the food to match the lovely setting.

Below than average food quality. Bar ? cocktails and wine was better than the food itself. The pictures in the catalogue are nowhere close to the actual course.
Definitely there are better places to go.

Another very enjoyable evening at Piccolino's! Great food - some excellent additions to mark the 25th anniversary year, great service and, as always, very attentive and efficient staff. Well done, Walter and all the team!!

This Piccolinos is the best by far. Walter and his team can not do enough , and always go above and beyond to look after you. I have been coming here for a long time and the service is always fantastic . Recently celebrated my birthday here and everyone had a great time. Food is always great and the atmosphere too. Large Italian restaurant very tasty food. Good choice of wine; beer mostly Italian, plus various cocktails.
Service is acceptable, but not all main course food was served at the same time.

Very busy Saturday afternoon hence service was a little slow at times, but lively ambiance. Worth the wait as food was delicious. There is a quieter mezzanine floor.

Never disappoints this venue, staff are consistently attentive & create the very cool fun vibe that all ages can enjoy really. Great menu & the new outside bar area a fantastic addition. Lunch, dinner or just drinks, Piccolinos is perfect for all occasions, whether I?m on business or pleasure??

Excellent vegetarian continental cuisine. Do make reservations, even on a Tuesday evening there were no empty tables. Friendly knowledgeable staff, quick service and very tasty food with good vegetarian choices.

Wow -- I've walked past this place often (because it's next to the lake at Virginia Water) but never tried it, so I finally visited for lunch. Very impressed. Probably the best meal that I've had this year.
Most of the restaurant is a large, spacious room under glass: indoors but feels outdoors. During my lunch visit, there were almost as many wait-staff as diners: they were perfectly attentive, never intrusive. I chose a starter of fegatini alla crema (livers in cream sauce) and a main course of braised ox cheek, with friarielli (turnip tops -- looks like spinach, tastes like green beans). Both were memorably excellent. I don't usually take dessert, but I was getting the idea that it might be amazing, so I had the ice-cream parfait with sour cherries and chocolate sauce, and did not regret it.
As you'd expect, the quality doesn't come cheap (my lunch was a shade over £70, including one drink and the autograt), but the chef's skill and the quality of the ingredients really shine through. (And they do have a few lower-priced options like pizzas.) For both food and atmosphere I would absolutely recommend Piccolino.

We love Piccolinos as a family we have been visiting frequently at least 10 years, extremely Freindly, happy, family atmosphere.
Lovely food .
Parking: Not quite enough parking but you can always park somewhere in the car park.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have a permanent ramp and wheelchair access ,very helpful staff.

Great flavours and big portions. The staff is really helpful and friendly but the best thing about this place is the food quality. I'll definitely be back.
