We planned a surprise birthday for my amazing mother in law, she lives local to the area, but we do not, so we embraced the help and support from Julie (landlady) to help plan and also invite local friends to join us, Julie went above and beyond, supporting our idea, and some how keeping in a secret from my detective mother in law, the service was 5* and the buffet that Julie had free rein on was simply amazing, I don?t think there was any left! And many of us still talk about it now. And a small thank you to the barmaid V, how made the best baby guiness!
Sadly I took very few photos, but I will try to source some.
Due to family all travelling from different locations we were also able to reserve rooms, and the feed back I have received was they all sleep so comfortably, and the breakfast was just perfect and well needed!
Thank you once again Julie and Team. You all did yourself proud.

Awesome friendly staff, great choice on tap, Landlord/landlady very very accommodating. Great space to have fun/chat in, especially the locals who always engage in chat.

This is a lovely Grumpy Mole. The staff are delightful and the atmosphere calm and restful. The food is always of a good quality with a selection to suit most tastes. Plenty of car parking with enough disabled spots.

Friendly welcome from the staff. The staff serving were very professional and diligent.
The selection of food was great. Vegetarian options available. There was a gluten free menu. Staff accommodated changes to meals.
I had vegetarian stroganoff. It was delicious and well presented. Followed by a creme brulee.
There is a good wine list and also bar drinks.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Wellington
Vegetarian stroganoff.
Veggie burger.
Meze.
Dietary restrictions: Extensive gluten free menu

Food and ambience a treat. Slightly confused by the fact that Grumpy Mole comes up when you ring or try to connect with Inn on the green until you realise that that GM runs this Inn and 4 others in the area. That aside, it was worth the need to persevere to get a booking.

We were waited on by John. He was so friendly, helpful and attentive.
It was very nice to be looked after by someone who knew their job and who was very respectful and who gave the personal touch.
We shall return for the delicious food and hopefully to be looked after by John again!

Great service and wonderful food. Just two things could improve... 200ml coke is what I'd expect in a hotel minibar, not a restaurant. And the beetroot wellington meal is very small.
Minor complaints. We eat here alot!
