? ? A real gem in Boxhill
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Western-Smith in Boxhill, and the experience was nothing short of wonderful. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations.
We began with the chicken fajita & sour cream taquitos ? absolutely outstanding. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the chicken tender, and the freshness of the sour cream tied it all together in a way that words can hardly describe.
Moving on to the mains, the salmon fillet was presented beautifully, and the taste matched its elegant appearance. Every bite showcased both quality and care in preparation.
The famous Chicken Melt was another highlight. A perfectly cooked breaded chicken fillet topped with melted cheese and finished with a slice of pineapple ? a delightful surprise. Tasting the pineapple added a refreshing, juicy touch that made the whole dish shine.
To finish, the lemon cheesecake was simply A1. Smooth, tangy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness, it was the ideal ending to an already memorable meal.
Overall, Western-Smith delivers a dining experience that blends quality, creativity, and warmth. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food with a presentation that truly impresses.

Great place, very welcoming, great service!

Upon arrival, we could see that they was busy with only 3 staff on. So we was expecting some wait times. However, it took over 30 minutes just to place a drinks order. Drinks arrived about 15 minutes later, and ordering more was nearly impossible due to the overwhelmed staff. Three out of four starters arrived, and the server?clearly new?struggled to identify them. The missing starter eventually came after we no longer wanted it, but at least they comped it.
The mains were a disaster. My fillet steak, ordered medium rare, was actually blue, but oddly hard and chewy on the outside. Another steak was rubbery, ribs were overcooked, corn was stone cold, and the curly fries were just fried scraps. The burgers were inconsistent?one undercooked, the other overdone. We could hear other tables complaining about long waits, and some even attempted to leave without paying.
The manager apologized and said she will do something for us, but our bill still included everything, including the comped starter, with only a 20% discount. We still paid over £150 for food that was barely edible. We just wanted to get out of here by this point as we had to drive for an hour home as we traveled for what was ment to be a enjoyable evening out with family.
The only positive was the staff, who were polite despite the chaos. However, management should have controlled bookings if they couldn't handle the demand. Unfortunately, we won?t be returning.

I don?t know how they do it! The atmosphere is like a busy bustling wild western saloon with all the laugher, music and awesome awesome BIG US Food! It was such a class evening, the kids loved it and more importantly the big kids loved it! ? (Try and carpool as parking is tight!)

Went there for my birthday and got an amazing gold cowboy hat and a lovely birthday celebration . Food was absolutely immaculate and staff were very friendly. The birthday desert was amazing!!

was first class. Everything was nicely cooked and really enjoyable. The restaurant staff are very friendly and tentatively made sure we were enjoying our experience. It was a memorable lunch. Thank you to the staff at the Smith and Western

This place has amazing atmosphere and it's full of beautiful futures.
Food was really good too. I loved the ribs and Mac and cheese. I liked the fact there was a souce on my table to add to the chicken wings to give them more kick.

I almost had a heart attack when my husband ordered a steak... £39!! Despite how expensive it is, it makes for a great birthday treat.

A really fun/bizarre experience which gives you a strange sense of being in the deep south of the USA. Everyone one who works there is really happy and jolly. I?ve never seen such enthusiasm from the staff when singing a customer Happy Birthday ?.
Fun vibes with fun country music. Reasonable prices too. This will always definitely be our last stop after a nice walk in Box Hill!

Great atmosphere very cowboy style. Great service, the staff introduced themselves by name and tell you they are your host for the evening.
Vegetarian options: Not much choices for vegetarians, I wish they do more because I loved being there.
