I visited the new shop with a colleague and found it to be very good, lots of sections and very helpful assistants. The only negative was that unlike the old shop there were no seats to take time to cogitate and think about the books. Apart from that it was all good.

Its a lovely place but today I had a bad experience because there was a staff lady working there called Maggie, and she was being very very unpolite,rude and disrespectful. And I felt Really offended? she refuse to give my student discount and she asked for what I?m studying and I said why do you need to know that? And then she said that, that?s what they do and then I just told her and she refused to give me the student discount ? and give me back my student card. Very unprofessional.??

The shop has really improved recently, I don't know if there's been a change of staff or something else, but the whole environment of the place is so much better than it was before. There's chairs to sit and read in, new (and a little better) books have appeared, and the recommendation cards beneath them are lovely. Last time I came it definitely felt like it was a place to buy a book and leave immediately, but now I feel you can linger around. I hope this remains to be a good contrast to the majority of the Staines shopping area. :-)

I had such a lovely experience in store when I had some trouble paying with e-vouchers; Sasha (sorry if I spelt your name wrong ?) was super helpful and so sweet throughout the entire process!!

On the positive side, great selection of books and staff are very knowledgeable and helpful! My only gripe is the pathetic loyalty card on offer. I was told that I would get a £10 voucher for every 10 Books purchased then told my first one didn't count as it was £9.99 and should be £10 or more. I have always been happy to pay a little extra but this rubbish scheme is an insult so I may go for Amazon in the future!!
