I came in to get a key cut on 9th of Sept 2025 in the afternoon and unfortunately had one of the worst customer service experiences I?ve ever witnessed.
The employee, Jason, was openly throwing tantrums in front of customers. At one point, he walked behind the counter, hit the open flap, and when it didn?t close, he struck it again and ended up breaking it. Not exactly professional behavior.
When it was my turn, I showed him the key. He immediately said he couldn?t do it because it was a security key. I explained that I was here last week and that his colleague had told me keys were being ordered and asked me to come back. He went to check, asked how many I needed, and when I said one, he responded that he?d ordered five. He then threw four of them on the floor right in front of me, completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
To make things worse, he didn?t even cut the key properly. I had to return again just to get it fixed.
Jason?s badge says he?s been there since 1988, but experience clearly doesn?t equal good service. His attitude was terrible, and it left a very negative impression. I strongly recommend he be given anger management and customer service training or perhaps an early retirement if he can?t treat customers with basic respect.

Really poor quality of service. Keys cut completely backwards, unapologetic over the phone. Lack of care towards the service they give, took more time taking my payment than cutting the keys. If you desire attention to detail and good quality of work done, I DO NOT recommend Staines timpsons.

I just want to say huge thanks to Jason as he really knows his job, does good work and is always very helpful. I bring my boots to get them treated and repaired for winter every other year and some other people sometimes mix up services or details, but Jason is always there to sort things and most importantly my favourite boots are in a perfect condition for years now.

Asked to get a spare key cut for my car I told them I could program it myself they refused to cut a key for me saying I'd have to bring the car for them to program it rubbish service.
I purchased a blank key from eBay someone cut the key I programmed it to my vehicle job done I will not be using Timpsons in a hurry again.

has to fight tooth and nail to get a refund on keys that weren't cut correctly.
£28 for 3 keys.
went somewhere different and now have 3 keys that work perfectly and only cosy £13.

Took my watch in for new battery,which I had replaced three months ago.The shop assistant was extremely rude saying it's not our battery's,it must be your watch.said I will wait for him to replace the battery.He said no you won't come back on 20 mins.when I went back he said the battery had come away from its home.but I have given you a new battery the assistant has no customer skills.This is the second time I have had dealings with him.The last time I went in there he broke
my watch,which needed to be repeated.I ended up having a blazing argument with him.the guy never apologizes.i won't use that shop if he's there ever again.

Absolutely terrible customer service. The guy in there at around 16:00 on Saturday the 17th of March was the rudest person I?ve ever come across. Quoted me £400 for a key repair and refused to carry out the work because he didn?t know how. This reflected in the questions I was asking as he just kept telling me to leave because he didn?t know how to answer them. I went to Sunbury Tesco Timpson and the job was quoted there for only £50. Avoid Staines Timpson at all costs. No idea why that man is still working there when he clearly can?t do the work he?s paid to, whether it?s due to lack of knowledge or just wanting to get paid to sit around and humiliate customers. He had the same attitude with everyone else in the store too. All the reviews here comment on this man?s lack of customer service, abrasive attitude, lack of competence and rudeness and it seems nothing has been done. Will never be going back. Use Sunbury Tesco Timpson instead.

The worst service ever! I just visited this shop at Staines, asked for my wrist watch belt alteration, he told me the cost of alteration and said will take 15mins, and he started with the alteration n he happened to turn back and saw me still standing there and started overreacting saying I said it will take mins to call after 15mins, I said I?m done with all my shopping il stay here for 15mins I don?t mind , he was making all sort of irritated expressions, first of all he give a small slip which had no details of my watch written n he wants me to leave the shop when my expensive watch is with him, I wonder what he even wanted to do with my watch, May change parts?

Whilst quick and relatively inexpensive for a watch repair, the guy in there could do with improving his customer service skills! Arrogant, dismissive, condescending and downright rude! And company obviously don't care as feedback locally echoes my sentiments and has done for a long time.
