Ordered a delivery from this shop.and it couldn't have been more wrong.tried contacting the driver who eventually replied said it was nothing to do with him.so i phoned tesco.was told there was nothing they could do but refunded my money which will take 5 to 7 days FFS. Unfortunately that was the last money I had until I get paid in 4 days. So I couldn't go to another shop. Ended up with a load of crap that I didn't want or will use.

I?ve shopped at Tesco Extra Ashford/Stanwell periodically over the years, hoping each visit would show improvement, but I?m continually disappointed by the consistently poor customer service.
With the exception of one or two standout staff members who are genuinely polite and professional, the majority of employees at this store?particularly at the tills and self-service checkouts?display a disheartening lack of basic courtesy and human decency.
Staff rarely use polite phrases like ?please? or ?thank you,? and smiles or friendly interactions are almost nonexistent.
Customers are treated more like inconveniences than valued patrons, with interactions feeling cold, rushed, and impersonal. Whether at manned checkouts or self-service stations, the staff?s demeanor suggests a lack of training in customer service fundamentals or an indifference to treating customers as fellow human beings.
This isn?t an isolated incident?I?ve returned every few months, giving the store multiple chances to improve, but the experience remains consistently subpar.
As one of Tesco?s larger Extra stores, I expected a higher standard of service, especially given the company?s reputation and the community?s reliance on this location in Ashford/Stanwell. Other supermarkets in the area, and even smaller Tesco branches, manage to foster a more welcoming environment, making this store?s shortcomings stand out even more.
The lack of warmth and professionalism detracts significantly from the shopping experience, leaving me reluctant to return.
I urge the management at Tesco Extra Ashford/Stanwell to invest in staff training to instill basic courtesy, such as using polite language, smiling, and engaging with customers respectfully. Until meaningful changes are made, I cannot recommend this store to anyone seeking a positive shopping experience. Disappointing doesn?t begin to cover it?do better, Tesco.

Dreadful after the revamp. It's just not logical. Similar and related items are scattered willy nilly throughout the store. The product selection is vastly reduced (around 30% of the items I buy are no longer stocked) and it seems cheaper products are coming to the fore. There also not even the volume of produce: fewer and less tall aisles and so there's often nothing left. And the petrol pumps are often out of order or don't take your card or ring dispense the fuel you want. There truly is no reason to come to Tesco any more. There are better, cheaper shops in the area. If this is your answer to the competition with Lidl opening close by, you've missed the mark by hundreds of miles, folks. Every Lidl helps ?

This store still has most things you would expect to find in any Tesco of this size, unfortunately there's very rarely any tills open with the expectation that we all know how to and enjoy doing it ourselves on the hated self service tills all the while being watched by a member of staff as we struggle to do this unpaid job for them. The staff in this store are rude , lazy and treat customers as if we're all stealing from the shop. It's a disrespectful attitude and I always leave this place feeling abused and angry. As Tesco store's go, this has to be one of the worst around. I DO NOT recommend this store.

Extremely rude staff. I don?t understand why years later this is still an issue. Why aren?t checkout staff getting trained properly on customer services because I literally am deterred shopping here because of checkout staff especially on the self service areas.

Is cash obsolete now? I tend do do 'scan as I shop ' but both the 'self checkout' and 'scan as you shop' areas seen to be card payment only! So unless I want to join the till queues (which I think should be maintained) I have no choice but to pay by card.

I go to a lot of cafes and this is one of the worst I have been to for relaxation. It is only a small space and yet customers have to order on a screen - no personal contact with staff. What an awful way to offer service in such a small space. Snacks were okay but I wouldn?t go back. The hospital cafe just beside Tesco offers a much more personal experience

This has to be the worst layout I?ve ever seen in any shop in any country. Put it back how it used to be you silly people. MEAT, BREAD AND MILK products are always together or close to each other. Wasted an hour instead of the usual 20 minutes

Whatever possessed them to revamp the whole entire store and not put up signage before doing so is beyond me.All customers are walking around in circles completely unaware of where anything is anymore.Staff don?t even know where things have moved to.Utter chaos and such poor organisation from management.
