I?ve had a very poor experience with this store. Since April, I?ve been attending endless appointments trying to sort out problems with the Easycare contact lenses (which kept tearing after two or three weeks instead of lasting a month), only to waste time.
When I phoned today to resolve things, the staff member who answered was shockingly rude ? constantly talking over me, raising her voice, and eventually hanging up. Thankfully, Jasmeen later called me back and was very kind and understanding, but the initial treatment I received was completely unacceptable.
Front-line staff urgently need better training in how to deal with customers.

I went in with a recent specsavers prescription that was from a specsavers abroad. I cracked my lenses and was desperately in need of replacement glasses for driving.
The staff were incompetent. Also found the manager rude, they were unable to help me and questioned my prescription demanding a re test for more money. Was told no other optician would help me. I promptly walked over to Vision Express and was greeted with an understanding and down to earth service. No problem at all. They offered me a great deal with promp and excellent service. Unfortunately spec savers won't see me again. My experience abroad was fantastic with them. This lot is in staines are useless, and lacking common sense.

All the staff were lovley from when I booked my appointment and when I went in for my eye test, to choosing my frames and sorting me out the best price for me ,theres a happy atmosphere in there as well ,well done Staines team ,keep up the good work

I had a vision issue that was a bit concerning. They fitted me in as an emergency health check. They explained about the drops and I had a thorough examination. The optician was excellent and very friendly. Really pleased with their efficiency on a Sunday and they were very busy. Thank you Specsavers Staines.

Extremely Disappointed ? Two Incorrect Eye Tests
I booked an eye test at Specsavers expecting a professional and accurate service, but unfortunately my experience was the opposite. My first test resulted in completely the wrong prescription, leaving me with glasses I couldn?t see properly through. I went back for a second test, hoping they would put things right, but that prescription was also wrong.
After wasting my time and money, I eventually had to request a refund. This has really damaged my confidence in their testing process, and I won?t be returning. I would strongly recommend double-checking your prescription elsewhere before committing to glasses here.
I also thought the manager was rude. Because I got my frames somewhere else, he suggested I go back to the company for them to change the lenses to correct them after specsavers messed it up. I chose specsavers because it was a reasonable price to get tested, I will be returning to my old opticians, yes more pricey but will be correct.

My husband wears bifocal glasses but needed an upgrade. We have always used spec savers in the past and have been happy. But this time we feel really let down and mislead by them!!!
The staff member encouraged my husband to try varifocal. I did mention he had Parkinson?s, and would this be a problem! But they said no, if he can?t get on with them bring them back and go back to the Bifocals. They said give it a 3 weeks trial, which he did.
The Varifocals were £130 more, but we thought if he really struggled with them he could change them. So after 3 weeks we went back got them changed.
Today we went to pick them up and we?re told you do not get a refund for the difference! Surely this should have been mentioned when he were encouraged to try them out!!!
We feel very mislead by Spec Savers and really upset! The staff need to explain this when they encourage you to try them out! You will not get the difference refunded!!!
We spoke to the manager, who said lots of people get upset by this!!
So why do they keep on encouraging you to try them, without explaining if you don?t get on with them your be losing money when changing them.
We have basically paid £130 more than we would have done if he had stuck to his original bifocal glasses. That?s what he has taken home with him in the end!
Even if they offered you half the price back, would be something!
It?s misleading and conning people in my mind?

Though I am aware there are other opticians around in my local area, I choose Specsavers because I am reminded by advertising and email reminders, then I get a great service during my appointment. The light and air tests was really fast to achieve and the lens tests was done fast also, plus a chat regarding any issues with my eyes was understandable, as I have had my cataracts replaced a few ago after popping into the same branch, who arranged the hospital appointments to get them replaced. Mah Ruich helped me choose new frames, plus offered any additional work to be done with the lenses, then I saw her again while collecting my new glasses, which she made sure they fit just fine. The glasses was quite expensive as a whole, but as so much as everything is going up in price, it was sort of expected. A great service all round.

I had an appointment with Jasmeen for an eye exam, and she provided excellent customer service. She was patient, took her time, and answered all of my questions clearly. I really appreciated her professionalism and the care she put into the appointment. Overall, a great experience.

I?m really not happy with my experience at Staines Specsavers. On the 1st of May I collected two pairs of spectacles costing £580. Initially they felt A bit weird, but I persevered. In June, I rang up to complain that spectacles were not right. In the first week of July, I went back to Specsavers and had my eyes retested and was told that I had a cataract in my left eye that was so bad it needed surgery and I was referred for a cataract operation. I expected a full refund because the glasses have been miss sold to me. New spectacles were never going to remedy poor vision caused by a serious cataract. The manager of the store refused a full refund and said, when the surgery is done and your eye has settled down, we will replace the lenses free of charge. I have lost all confidence in Specsavers and I?m not convinced they will honour that pledge.
