This branch of Pret in in Staines High Street has been our local for the past 5?6 years, and we visit every single day. The team here is absolutely incredible?friendly, efficient, and they always go above and beyond to make customers feel welcome.
Unfortunately, my recent experience with a staff member named Gabriel has been deeply disappointing. Unlike the rest of the amazing team, Gabriel stood out for all the wrong reasons. He acted like he was a duty manager, spoke to me in an incredibly disrespectful manner, and outright accused me of lying when I pointed out that I had been given the wrong drink. Rather than addressing the issue professionally, he was dismissive and made no effort to resolve the mistake.
When I called to escalate the matter, he shockingly hung up on me mid-conversation, which was not only unprofessional but completely unacceptable. His behaviour is a stark contrast to the usual high standards of this branch and has tainted an otherwise consistently positive experience.
If you visit this branch, I strongly recommend avoiding Gabriel and seeking out the rest of the wonderful staff who truly embody the excellent customer service this Pret location is known for.

Ordered a matcha latte, someone else picked it up when I went for it, then came back after realising it wasn?t hers as she?d ordered an iced one. Staff didn?t offer to make me a new one, no idea if this lady had already drank from it. Latte wasn?t hot and was lumpy at the bottom, not as good as it used to be. Tables were dirty upstairs and clearly hadn?t been cleaned since the last person.

This used to be a great place to go to. Staff always so friendly. Seating area upstairs is closed off, tables left are all looking into the toilets which had the door wide open when I went. Person who said she was the manager was so aggressive. Told me to sit downstairs where the only free tables were by the door and it was freezing. There are plenty of other places to go to very close by. Hopefully there will be a change of manager soon and we can get back to how things used to be where the staff were always so welcoming.

The upstairs seems to be closed most of the time now, meaning there is only a single toilet. There have been a lot of unexpected, very early closures, which makes a subscription service pretty awful but in all fairness it hasn't been closed for my past few visits.

I was a loyal customer of pret, even after pret changed the subscription. But recently I have been so disappointed about the food. The avocado roll used to be my favourite breakfast. But now, it is not only more expensive than before, but also tasteless. The bread is extremely dry and stiff. I just cancelled my subscription and will not spend any money with pret anymore.

I?ve been a loyal customer at Pret for years, but my recent visit was very disappointing. My sibling and I came to work upstairs, as it's usually quiet and perfect for meetings. Around 2:50 PM, an employee told us the upstairs area would close in 10 minutes, stating it closes two hours before the café itself?but this was nearly three hours earlier. It felt very abrupt and disrupted our focus.
When we moved downstairs, the atmosphere wasn?t much better. A barista started dragging chairs and sweeping loudly right next to us, making us feel uncomfortable and like we were being pushed to leave.
To make things worse, it was freezing inside. The temperature outside was around 8°C and raining, yet the café had no heating, only AC. I?ve asked about the heating multiple times during previous visits, but nothing seems to change. I had to keep my coat on just to stay warm while working.
It?s a shame, as I?ve always loved Pret for its coffee, but this experience made me question returning to this location. Hopefully, these issues are addressed for future customers.

I say upstairs, the time was 2:40pm, I had just tipped the sugar into my coffee, when one of the staff came upstairs and said:"we're closing upstairs in 20 mins. I then walked downstairs and there was nowhere to sit so I just left. If this shop didn't have an upstairs and has double floor space downstairs, would they close half the shop and say that we all have to go and sit in the bit where there are no seats available? Someone asked, "why are you choosing the upstairs, you don't choose at three?" She replied,"we want to clean up.". So they closed upstairs 2-3 hours early, because they want to make sure they got it dead on five o'clock, because that's their job. The food is good. The coffee is average.
