Good ub good atmosphere please sort your toilets out no disabled toilets and no locks on the doors.. my husband has problems and needed to use the toilet as no privacy in the men's asked if he could use the ladies and he was told no...and was told no locked on any doors as people keep breaking them...please look to fit proper strong locks that don't break and in this day and age most toilets are the same sex anyway....please use discretion in these circumstances...not acceptable

Busy so service at the bar was slow, but to be expected

I gave the food 0 stars because it was inedible the stars are given to the wonderful manager and waiter. The worst food I have ever had when going out. I only ate a bite of it and paid the price later with nausea. I wish I had taken a picture of it because what they served up for an £18 burger is atrocious. 4 people in our party ordered the burger and they were all awful. I can't say for other food but the fried chicken burger, avoid like the plague.
However, staff were wonderful and friendly and it was nicely decorated for Christmas. I was given a full refund.
I probably wouldn't go back there though.

I was very hungry when I came into the pub and so sat down and looked at the menu. I saw the chicken burger which caught my eye and at £17 I was expecting a large chicken burger on nice bread with plenty of toppings. You can expect my shock and horror when the food eventually arrived and I saw this tiny pathetic excuse of a burger. I think if it was priced at £5 it would be less of a hit, however at £17, this was close to a war crime. The chips were very tasty and well cooked however didn?t recover the damage done by the burger. I?m not sure whether this is a rogue item which is known to be not very good but I will never eat here again after that experience. Sad to ruin the experience when I love this pub so much

Just had a drink. Busy but not much of an atmosphere for a Friday night!

I went to this pub last night, ordered two drinks, a large wine and a gin and tonic, they cost £20.85, I questiond the barman about the price, thinking he made a mistake because it was so much more expensive than other pubs,he said it was right to.my amazement.
We went upstairs to have our expensive overpriced drinks.
as
Literally every table was wonkey ,we eventually found a a table we thought to be ok, guess what it wasn't and the drink toppled over.
They did replace it free, definitely not an enjoyable experience.
I never bother writing reviews, but I feel this experience needed to be shared.
Never again.

Didn't eat there so haven't rated. Nice drinks and atmosphere but still quiet enough to hold a decent conversation

A grand old pub over numerous levels ending in a lovely beer garden at the very top of the pub! Two bars - one each on both the ground and 1st floor - with the ground floor bar being the only one open when we were there. There is so much space in this pub which is wonderful to 1 - allow people to enjoy it's grandeur and 2 - to let people move about freely without running into a table two and a half feet away. The staff were amazing and I did spend a bit of time chatting away to them, learning a bit more about the pub (and Fuller's - good to work for apparently). The Guinness was excellent and the London Pride was apparently a bit too cold but nice regardless.
