Was told I cannot stay upstairs to stay out of the cold and that I needed to buy something or I wouldn?t be let up there
I caused zero issues, did not take any condiments or even a glass of water and yet I was told this
To be fair I understand why but I do not wish to buy overpriced coffee
Atmosphere is good, quiet

Surprisingly good coffee - tried Brazilian roast cortado - expertly made. No wait when I went on a weekday morning. Seating upstairs in the converted old building is particularly nice. Spacious.

Run down, peeling paint on the walls, needs a bit of love and money. Toilets are disgusting so stay clear of them. The upper level is closed by the manager about 3 hours before closing time (why?). On the plus side, dog friendly. It could be a great cafe given the right management and investment.

Incredibly rude staff. I was walking along the high street of Reigate just earlier today to see a man raising his voice, shouting and giving major attitude towards two teenage girls outside on the high street, because they were in Starbucks uniforms and handing out free samplers to people all along up and down the high street, they just so happened to be passing Café Nero (they would've also been in close proximity to Gail's, Costa and multiple independent coffee/café chains with no issues from them!) Shouting at them about how it is so disrespectful to be in Starbucks uniform within proximity to a competitor chain. Get a grip lad, they were both at least 15-20 years younger than you!Absolutely pathetic and unacceptable behaviour!I have already contacted and passed this on to Café Nero Customer services and made a formal complaint against this person!

It's a beautiful building, but really needs a revamp on the inside; it's pretty dirty. Great atmosphere and has plenty of seating upstairs and down. Coffee is good, staff are nice (but they change regularly so this may change). Food isn't amazing but there are loads of other good places for food in Reigate. Service can also be quite slow due to a lot of deliveroo.
Parking: Parking along the high street, can be difficult to find.

Great coffee, cakes and service in a historic Reigate building. FYI - toilets in basement as well as 1st floor!
