This is one of our local shops and I absolutely love it. Such a great variety of locally sourced products which although slightly dearer than other local shops is so worth it. The staff are always friendly polite and helpful and their selection of fresh flowers is wonderful.

There is certainly a good selection of items for sale here, but the prices need to be taken into account.

This is a great corner shop, unlike many the produce does not look all dusty from sitting on the shelves for goodness knows how long. The have a reasonable selection of fresh fruit and vegeatables, as well as the standard tins and packets you expect from a convienience store, as well as a good range of magazines and newspapers. The staff are very friendly , and keep the shop neat and tidy. The best thing is that the prices are reasonable, perhaps not as cheap as a supermarket but so much more convienient for bits and pieces.

This is the type of corner shop most corner shops want to be. It's professionally run (meaning in a professional manner, not by a large chain), clean, well-stocked, and reasonably priced. While many newsagents stock solely tinned and convenience food, Holborns also carried a large selection of fresh fruit, veg, meats and refrigerated foods. I remember stopping by there when I needed that certain ingredient for a recipe, thinking no way they'll have this, but I'll try and sure enough, there it was. Hooray! They carry fireworks and Christmas trees during the appropriate times of year. They also offer a newspaper delivery service, and, if I'm remembering right, a grocery delivery service for a small fee.
