I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I'm really uncomfortable with the treatment I recieved. I have dark brown hair and brought in a reference pic with my colour hair and a few copper highlights towards the ends, minimal colour.
The man who did it highlighted 3 quarters of my hair directly from the roots white blonde and then put an orange toner on. I looked completely insane and most of my natural hair had been bleached. I actually started crying because my hair was utterly ruined.
The stylist next to me (Matt I think) started laughing and joking with his client is a pointed bullying way about clients being shocked they got what they asked for, but if you see the reference pic below and then what they did to my hair you can see that couldn't be further from the truth.
The stylist then said it doesn't matter he can fix it, then put a way too light shade of brown on my roots, which was left on for ages, then the manager stepped in and put on a much darker brown, which did remedy it and I ended up with a nice enough all over deep red result. By that point my scalp was burning after peroxide, toner & 2 rounds of dye, despite the fact I had said from the outset I didn't want highlights anywhere near my scalp.
Although the end result is cute enough, it's not really what I wanted, but my main issue is that most of my hair was unnecessarily bleached white blonde. These dyes and toners will fade giving me a pale scalp and I will constantly have to pay to redye an area that never should have been touched in the first place.
So little bleach ever needed to be used and I kept saying from the beginning that I had grown my hair out natural and wanted most of it to stay that way. My healthy hair is now significantly lighter and I'm going to have to maintain it for months to come because dye over bleach always fades. I'm honestly so upset about my experience and felt so uncomfortable with the way that random stylist Matt was making comments to belittle me when he wasn't even involved.
I wasn't even given a discount and I wish I had never gone.

I?ve been going to Samantha James for around 4 years and wouldn?t trust anyone else with my hair. Despite my hair lifting to very orange tones they were able to spend the time to make it more ashy and were able to achieve exactly what I wanted. I am amazed with the customer service and value for money!

I came on here to leave a review about my visit last Saturday and was shocked to read the last review. I actually think I was sat in the seat next to her. French lady I believe and was a bit full of herself, kept going on about her nuptials even though they?re not happening until June ? (a real Bridezilla). So to counterpoint the last review, I actually think I had my hair cut by the owner and it was great. If anything she briefly leaned over at several points to check that lady was ok and was getting the right colour? (Not sure of the terminology as I?m a man). The owner really went out of her way and was showing a lot of care and attention for everything and everyone around her. I honestly don?t understand the unwarranted negativity. Great place. Highly recommended

This is the worst salon you can find in Redhill. I came to have my hair colored and came out with very gingery roots. I rang the salon to see if kindly something could be done (like a toner or something else) but clearly the RUDE owner of the salon SAM made it clear that nothing was done wrong. I won't be coming back to your salon. Horrendous services.

The staff were really friendly, Amelia was amazing at colouring my hair and really understood what I wanted. They always do a good head massage as well when washing your hair. Really happy.

Excellent service, everyone was friendly and attentive. Yusuf, the stylist who did my highlights and haircut was amazing, I love how he styled my hair. Got a lot of compliments from my friends and colleagues. Will definitely be back.

Excellent - I have visited this salon twice in last couple of months for them to correct another salon?s disastrous highlights & both times I have been really pleased with the cut & highlights. Yousef is incredibly thorough & clearly takes pride in his work, I highly recommend him. Excellent service. Aga, you done an amazing job on my hair colour. The lady with the blue hair ( sorry can't remember her name)cut my hair beautifully. Very pleased with the results from both ladies.
