I went here a week or two ago to put some money into my account, I?m a teenage waitress I don?t know too much about banking - I?ve been with nationwide for a while but I?ve never really needed to put money in my account. The lady who ?helped me? was 50s/60s, brunette, extremely rude and degrading. I?ve never been one to be embarrassed to ask for help, but she made me feel belittled and like I was an inconvenience to her job. It?s really hard to get to me and I don?t really leave reviews but the way she acted towards me was completely unacceptable. Very rude. I don?t want to feel anxious going to Nationwide, because every other encounter I?ve had with the other staff has been nothing but pleasant! No one should be made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcomed, especially young people starting out.

I went to Redhill Nationwide Building Society today the 5th of February.
I am new to the branch and everyone was just brilliant. I briefly met Adam I think his name was , very polite and patient as I wasnt sure what I needed to do.
I would like to pay a special mention to Sandra she was extremely helpful and took time with me as well.
Sandra ran through everything to the point with me and clarified everything I needed nothing was too much trouble for her.
I can not praise her enough she made me feel welcome and was so professional just brilliant.
Sandra is a true credit to the branch at Redhill she really is - thanks so much Sandra

Honestly, nobody under 75 should be banking here. Been in the queue 45 mins so far while every pensioner in Redhill tries to resolve their problems and has a chat about their issues and is offered sympathy. 2 windows are open, conversations going round in circles because nobody can remember their PIN number. One clerk currently asking a lady what her annual income is (it?s £12,000) at top volume in the open plan as the lady is deaf and of course you wouldn?t have a private room for this - she?s been at the desk for at least 10 minutes trying to arrange a telephone appointment. Currently 8 people in the queue.

Asked for short term overdraft £50.00 was told no by a machine no humans involved banking now machine run total rubbish no help at all they don't care

I have been a customer of this bank for 4 years. I've never owed them a penny (and no other bank either) but they think it's best to manage my money the way they want. Every time I need to make a money transfer to help my aging parents, they do it. they allow you to decide not to send anything even if I signed everything they ask me is proven (because according to them I'm too poor to help my parents) our whole family has current accounts with them we are considering changing banks all four the partners - and it's a pity (my daughter has already changed it) in my husband's place for six months continued to take money from us for the insurance of a house we had rented before and even though we had declared that we no longer lived there bank kept sending money to an insurance company we no longer needed...they said we had to do it ourselves. what is the use of the bank if it does not help you with what is paid. and as if I made myself a sandwich at home and went to pay for MC Donald. I put one star, only because I can't put zero

Just went into the Redhill branch to seek advice on opening savings accounts. Very friendly team and we got excellent support from Tracey. Patient and helpful and also assisted us in opening an account. Very impressed with the level of service.
