I visited Joshua?s Tree for Mother?s Day with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience was a huge letdown. The service was painfully slow?though to be fair, there was only one server managing the entire place (bless him). However, the real disappointment was the food. It tasted like it had been cooked days in advance and merely reheated in a microwave or oven. The flavors were flat, the textures were off, and even my child could tell that the quality just wasn?t there. For a place that claims to serve authentic Indian cuisine, this was a complete miss. I was really looking forward to a great meal, but instead, it was underwhelming and far from fresh. Such a shame!

I had an amazing dining experience at Joshua Tree Restaurant, thanks to Mohan, who went above and beyond in making sure we enjoyed the best of their authentic cuisine. His recommendations were spot-on, and every dish he suggested was bursting with flavor.
We started with the Chicken 65, which was crispy, perfectly spiced, and absolutely delicious. The Fish Nirvana was a standout?fresh, tender fish in a rich, aromatic sauce that was truly next-level. The Parota was flaky and soft, pairing wonderfully with the Varutharacha Chicken Curry, which had deep, authentic flavors that reminded me of home-cooked South Indian food.
Mohan's knowledge of the menu and warm hospitality made the meal even more special. His passion for good food and great service is evident, and we?ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend both the restaurant and Mohan?s excellent service!

Came here for leaving drinks. Mates raved about the food as they ate. I was looking more for traditional English pub with sofas and pub feel. This is more an Indian restaurant with few chairs up front. Didn't feel cozy. Staff however were very nice. Come here to eat Indian food but not to chill per se. Also parking very limited.

This is really a hidden gem at the moment! Excellent food - would say pretty authentic and scrumptious Keralan cuisine. Highly recommend for a palatable experience. Service was great for a party of 16 people and well priced menu. Worth the drive to Redhill. Will definitely revisit.

The staff are absolutely lovely, the food tastes amazing, it was a really nice atmosphere, and a really good price considering how much we ate.
They serve mostly South Indian food and the waiter gave us really helpful suggestions. Definitely the best Indian restaurant we?ve been to in the UK.
We can?t wait to come back!

We celebrated our daughter?s birthday at Joshua Tree this weekend..and I?m so happy that we chose this place to host the event. The food, the atmosphere, the arrangements, the staff and their service is top notch!! My guests were very happy with the overall experience. Most recommended if you?re near the Redhill - Reigate area?

Very friendly staff and great ambiance. Very good to throw a small party. Only negative side was our food was delayed. Loved the Kerala Paratas and Sag Paneer, but I wouldn't order Vegetable Biryani here again.
We can find parking nearby easily.
Vegetarian options: Kerala Parottas were great!
Sag Paneer was great.
Paneer butter masala was more on the sweet side which isn't great!
Vegetable Biryani was really bad! I would not order it again.

Joshua Tree is a must-visit for anyone who loves South Indian cuisine or simply wants to explore its rich and varied flavors. The combination of exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere makes this restaurant a true standout. Highly recommended ? I can?t wait to return!
Mithun is an exceptional manager who consistently goes above and beyond to provide outstanding service. Even when I place my orders close to closing time, he always ensures my requests are accommodated with utmost care. His dedication and willingness to go the extra mile to get food delivered are truly commendable. Mithun's commitment to customer satisfaction makes every dining experience memorable and enjoyable.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our visit to the Joshua tree for Sunday Lunch.
Firstly although our table for 9 was booked and confirmed for 1pm we arrived and the restaurant was closed. I went round the side and bumped into a man who then opened the restaurant his excuse was that they had an outside catering job for 200 - clearly forgot about his inside catering job! Not a good start.
The restaurant heating was off so it was extremely cold (10 Deg C max) and we sat for 2.5 hours with our coats on waiting for our food to arrive. Yes two and a half hours!.
What did arrive was very mediocre - no actually it was appalling - and was also on the cold side, like the restaurant. Service was non existent as it appears that satisfying Deliveroo/Just Eat orders was their priority. Just getting another round of drinks was an effort.
The popadom accompaniments were just weird, runny syrup mango chutney (no chutney), fluorescent green mint sauce, and strange chopped up onion with other bits? Very cheap and nasty.
But with nothing else to eat we tucked in.
When our main eventually arrived it was not much better looking, very unappetizing indeed, zero effort in presentation plonked on the table without even an apology. The Onion bhajis were dry cold balls of stodge, which sort of sums up the care and attention which went into the whole meal.
It's quite unbelievable how low the standard of food was. They could not make it any worse if they tried.
This is not a restaurant it's a factory for delivery companies, if you are expecting a quality English Indian meal with the usual excellent service Indian restaurants are know for you will be disappointed.
I am not sure what restaurant some of the other reviewers had been to but it wasn't The Joshua Tree. In fact the food photos of the other reviews look different, perhaps at the weekend the owners hand the business to the muppets.
I was totally embarrassed to have taken my family there. £250 of disappointment.
It will be interesting to see if they can be bothered to reply to this review.
Shocking!

Some of the food was good whilst some of it was average. The service could only be described as amateurish.
