We've just had a really lovely experience at The Mill House. It was my birthday family meal and there were 8 of us (6 adults and 2 children). The food was delicious but I really wanted to give a shout out to Sydonnie our waitress. She was AMAZING!!! So attentive, went over and above to ensure we all were happy with our menu choices, was extremely attentive and was great with the kids. She was so happy and welcoming. A great asset to this restaurant. Thank you for making my birthday meal such a lovely experience.

I was in a party of four for a late lunch. The total cost was just over £162. Unfortunately my meal which was priced at £16.49 was not up to scratch. It was a single minute burger with cheese and a small portion of luke warm chips.Served by the manageress with a cold. Which didn't please me as I'm starting chemotherapy in a few days. The meal was so tiny that I had to scroung a few ribs off my friends. Lastly we sat there with a tablefull of dirty dishes for almost an hour. All this while the manageress sat idlely by nursing her cold.Never again thank you !Update ! A belly ache for three days afterwards.

Our server Jackie was lovely and helpful and full of festive cheer....food was basic pub food, but hot and tasty. This is our 2nd time there and it's a lovely quiet pub to have a catch up with friends.

The food was good and the waiting staff excellent, very friendly and welcoming. However, there were a couple of issues that appeared to be caused by poor management - a drinks offer had not been communicated out to staff (£2.50 chaser with a pint) and an email offering 33% off food did not work properly on the tills. It took a long time for the staff to sort our bill out. The manager refused to come and help, even though they were on the premises, so the staff had to work it out to our satisfaction.

A good Christmas menu. (2 or 3 course) Really enjoyed the turkey - a good portion. Real friendly staff and always catering for their customer needs.

Really lovely staff and the food was great. Nice clean restaurant and colouring bits for kids too. We booked in advance for lunch and it was really quiet when we arrived but by the time we left it was super busy so I'd say it's a good idea to book, just incase.

At our visit, we were well looked after by Jackie. Beer was good, food was all well cooked and presented and service was quick and efficient. Theres a good variety of food at very reasonable prices, including set menu deals. This isn?t fine dining and I?m sure much of it is pre-prepared and frozen but it?s unpretentious and we all enjoyed it. Once again, a shout-out to Jackie but clearly this is a place where the staff are all motivated and well known organised.Vegetarian options: A reasonable choice of optionsDietary restrictions: Good details of calories etc and staff asked several times about allergies

Waitress Sydonnie very good, food was ok, had the half chicken, very succulent, skinny fries nice but could have been hotter, sweetcorn again nice but could have been hotter. Had tomato ketchup and a BBQ sauce, neither tasted as good as I would have expected.

Due to work, I regularly have to stop over and like to stay in a Premier Inn. The Mill House Beefeater is friendly with great staff, good value for money, and the Haddock and Chips were delicious ?

The most miserable team members you can ever imagine. Out of the 8 team members I interacted with over 4 nights. Two of them were able to communicate without a grunt and use words. Whole atmosphere was awful. Food okay.

I was dining by myself with my two small children. I was served by Jackie who gave me the most incredible service. She made sure I had everything I needed, including keeping my drink topped up so I didn't need to leave the table. Nice food absolutely lifted by the fantastic Jackie.Kid-friendliness: We were put in a quiet section, but not made to feel isolated.

We had a very nice lunchtime meal here. The food was really nice, the menu has been updated slightly but still has the old favourites. The update is actually an upgrade, which is nice.But what made the meal was the service, jackie was really a step above. She made us feel really welcome and made sure we were truly fed and watered. Top service!!!!

Greeted and seated by a lovely lady, super friendly and welcoming. We were given plenty of time to make our choices from the menu, and the food was quick to be delivered, all was piping hot, looked and tasted delicious and a great time was had by all. We will definitely be returning!

Convenient, as its on the same site as the Premier Inn we were staying at. So no need to use the car. The place is oldie-worldie and the interior is very dated and tired-looking. For pub grub, it was better than some we eaten in.
