My wife and I chose to eat here with our two young children for our last meal in UK before heading home to France. We booked a table for 7.30pm hoping it would be a Beefeater meal as we once remembered. Unfortunately it wasn't even close. There were two younger guys sat at the bar enjoying a beer. There were only another two tables of two people eating who were all very elderly. Really no atmosphere at all. For almost everything we wanted to order we were told they didn't have it. When we finally ordered and the food was delivered to our table it was very disappointing as everything was obviously cooked from frozen! Our waitress also couldn't even manage a smile the entire time we were there. I would recommend another restaurant than here too anyone!

Very disappointing experience. Much of the menu was unavailable which should have been communicated to us before we arrived as the table had been booked and therefore a contact could have been made. We were informed that two or three menu choices were unavailable but it was not until we had sat down and ordered drinks that it became apparent that it was more than two or three items. In fact I should think that about half the choices were not available.Despite not being busy the waitress service could have been better. The food when it eventually arrived was cold, my son's steak was overcooked and cold, my gammon steak was cold in fact the only hot thing was the plate.
Other meals were cold or luke-warm at most. Having waited so long for the meals we were disinclined to send them back and wait another hour for them to be re-cooked. If the chefs had not been either arguing with and laughing with the waitresses and spent more time concentrating on the meals they might have been better. As for the dessert menu, at least half was unavailable therefore some of us had to go without. Altogether a very disappointing "Birthday" experience for my daughter-in-law.
We shall not be returning.

If you?re staying at the adjacent hotel this restaurant is a handy option, but after visiting one weekday evening I didn?t leave convinced it was worth travelling any further for. When I arrived none of the tables in the bar area seemed to be getting cleared or cleaned after use, despite it being very quiet, and the food menu itself was filthy and sticky. Ordering food and drinks at the bar was easy and the member of staff friendly enough, and the service time for the burger was decent.
The portion size was alright for the price but presentation a little basic, with the cheese in the burger remaining unmelted. It was a bit annoying once served to have to trek to the other side of the restaurant to collect cutlery though - it would be better to be advised it?s self serve when ordering, or given I was the only diner present, for the staff to offer to collect instead. Taste was okay but certainly couldn?t be considered great value.
There?s a decent enough range of drinks available at sensible prices and the large garden area is nice for sunny days. Perhaps I caught it on a bad day but everything else felt rather average though.

The food was nice, the place was busy, and the poor server girl was here everywhere. was xmas holidays, so we had a bit of a wait,would still go back, it's nice.

Breakfast took so long to arrive we had to leave and go without. Items that you help yourself ran out and were not replaced. Everyone was complaining, understandably This place is an embarrassment to Premier Inn where you nearly always get an excellent breakfast. Also our breakfast purchase was not communicated from Premier Inn causing delay and awkwardness.

Our usual waitress Jackie was fabulous as usual. Always goes above and beyond to make our visits perfect.
The new manager, ( tall guy with beard and foreign accent) however wasn't as inviting. His attitude is not good at all and nor are his customer service skills!
The food was very disappointing too. We were told several items not available due to supplier issue,
but decided to stay and order what was available. Ribs and chicken combo. I've had this often. The ribs were so small..about the third of the size they normally are and also the chicken was very dry and chewy. And only a few chips. A very disappointing meal and certainly not what we have come to expect from this restaurant at all. I am thinking of cancelling our Boxing day meal as worried it will be the same.

What's happened? Visited today 22/12, half the menu was unavailable allegedly due to a gas leak at a distribution centre. What there was wasn't up to the usual high standard. Disappointing.
Excellent food & drinks, happy friendly staff, comfortable seating, great atmosphere. Recommended.
