Great menu. We visit often and have never been disappointed. Family and friends love it too. Booking is a must. Parking can be hot and miss at peak times.

Attractive pub with good food but if it?s going to be that busy on a bank holiday Monday then they need more staff. Also didn?t help our experience that it was implied we had stolen a plate and, because they were so busy and we?d waited ages to pay, a member of our group went inside to settle up. The rest of us were then accused of walking out without paying. If they?d had more staff and we hadn?t had to wait so long in the heat then maybe we wouldn?t have had to walk in and sort the taken yourselves. Staff we did have were fine but one of the girls was grumpy which light have something to do with the fact that they were too busy to cope.

I can remember when this was renovated some years ago and the standards were set high then to present a welcoming atmosphere with open fires and vintage feel to the place. These standards are still up there years on. The team are most helpful. Plenty of parking for the pub requirements - outdoor dining available. Dog friendly for walkers. We have parked and gone into the Haycutter - booked a reservation - done a walk and returned to our reservation for drinks and food. Great menu - had most on the menu. Our family members usually get together here on regular occasions. Always a good atmosphere here. Friendly/Cosy all year round. Recommended.

Large pubs very popular, good decor and atmosphere. Menu OK but limited unfortunately. Been there many times, Parking can be a problem at peak times / days. Friendly staff.

Lovely celebratory lunch today. Gf well catered for. Great waitress and I believe it was her first day in charge of the section. We were impressed.

I really thought that I would be giving this place 5 stars, sadly not the case. It has a beautiful countryside location, a great outside terrace to enjoy the sunshine and lovely farmhouse feel inside. The menu has a good variety of dishes, something for everyone. So where did it go wrong? Serving burnt toast with pate and overcooked chips with a burger (the burger itself was delicious). Prawns in the tacos were overcooked and the Nut Roast was dry and came with just a few potatoes, half a carrot and some cabbage. The £40 bottle of wine which should have be cold was room temperature.
I would point out that the customer facing staff were very good. When we were asked how things were we told our server who was very apologetic and said that she will speak to her manager. The ?manager? who eventually turned up said she needed to speak to her manager which seemed odd. It seems as though the real manager didn?t want to speak with their customers and let the serving staff deal with any issues.
I think the place is mismanaged, not even taking accountability for when things go wrong and expect the serving staff to deal with disgruntled customers, that?s a sign of poor leadership which is clearly affecting the kitchen that are producing sub standard food.
I?m giving an extra star because of our server Lucy who was very friendly and attentive. She is an asset to your establishment and handled our feedback with empathy and professionalism, perhaps the manager could learn a thing or two from her!

This is BUSY place at the weekend. It has a large garden area, but it didn?t seem too noisy. The menu was quite diverse. I had sea bass with chilli noodles and my son had a piripiri chicken burger. Both were tasty.
The wait staff were young, friendly and pleasant but service slow.

Spacious pub with ample seating and welcoming service. Good menu choices, sensibly priced wine list but beer emphasis on draft rather than keg. Food came quickly but rather bland and some ingredients missing. Tasty small deserts with hot drink
