The pharmacy is terrible. Slow service, badly organised, clueless. I don?t know anyone who has a good word to say. Have changed to Paydens. This store should be closed or completely revamped with new competent staff. I have no faith in their advice. Would give zero stars if I could!

Good place but the pharmacist never answer the phone. Doesn?t matter what time you call.I?ve tried four times today and no answer.

I am not surprised to see so many negative reviews. This branch has some serious issues that need to be addressed.First the good - the general manager, the pharmacists, and the staff on the retail tills by the door are all lovely. However, this is let down by the some of the pharmacy till staff, who are incredibly mean, will yell at you and give the impression that you are an inconvenience and they would rather not give you your medication at all. Naturally there are signs everywhere saying there is zero tolerance for any rudeness from you the customer - alas there is no such requirement for them. The second issue is process - a lot of this will be Boots policy, however I have used other Boots pharmacies that are well run in comparison. The pharmacy needs two separate processes: one for prescriptions that are already made up, and a separate one for prescriptions that haven?t. The problem is that by lumping these two together as it currently is, if the person at the front needs their prescription making up, the entire queue has to wait until that?s done, which can take a long time, during which the queue builds up to incredible levels with waits of 45 mins plus. But if they checked as people arrive, they would find that 60-70% have their prescription already made up in a bag on the shelf, and they could cut the queue significantly by having one member of staff churn through those (which don?t even need pharmacist intervention, it?s just scan a barcode, pay, hand it over). Then to the bizarre issue about how many failed visits it takes to successfully collect a prescription, even if you are willing to wait it out - there is frequently some random reason why the pharmacist isn?t there, and when that happens you?re not getting anything. I get that an untrained member of staff isn?t going to make up a prescription, but it is frustrating that they won?t hand over a prescription that has already been made up and bagged and is sitting on the shelf - in this situation the pharmacist would not be involved even if they were there, so I don?t get why the process won?t allow it. This is especially unjust for working people. The whole thing shuts down from 1-2 - the time when most working people have time during the day to collect their prescription. What are you supposed to do then? It?s not open until 9 and it?s closed by 5:30. There has to be a way that again - if your prescription is ready they can just give it to you without waiting for the pharmacist to return. All of this amounts to an experience that is not customer oriented in any shape or form. If you need medication, it is very stressful if you feel like you are unable to get it. This pharmacy seems to have no empathy for that. Their only response to these issues seems to be adding to the ever growing collection of posters and signs threatening that they have the right to refuse to serve you and that they will report you to the police. Great.

Soooo slow to set served every time. Go to Paydens Pharmacy a few doors down instead. Staff actually know what they are doing there. Boots staff and clueless and deliberately unhelpful, and on occasion rude

Absolutely shockingly bad Pharmacy, zero interest in actually helping you, rather just fulfilling the order. Awful.

When looking on the boots website you can go into the store and get what you need in a quick dash.

Went into Boots Oxted yesterday to pick up my husbands vital medication that comes from Redhill hospital. Waiting in the queue then told by rude manager that it is staffs lunch break and to come back in an hour!Poor staff that was behind the counter looked mortified, I explained that I had come only for that , no payment nothing just needed handing over. Was told by the manager that it was policy and I would have to wait ! So I sat down and waited , while SHE the manager was supposedly filling a shelf, ignoring me. I asked if she could give me my package, same automated response , no, I would have to wait. An hour later young girl opened the draw and gave me the package saying she was sorry. Not her fault, poor girl having to work with that rude patronising, unhelpful manager. They re customer service is appalling! Why is management letting this happen, she should be sacked !

Absolutely shocking boots branch! The staff in the pharmacy are useless, rude and patronising. No wonder people's mental health is through the roof because they refuse to give subscriptions and can't even give a valid reason why.Staff need some serious customer service training

Absolutely useless and rude staff. Have called three times to chase up my prescription, and been fobbed off every time with an excuse. Staff refuse to admit when they've made a mistake, and then interrupt and patronise you. Will never use again. Will use local chemist Paydens in future.
