Went in to use the Inpost lockers instore and could not get the label to scan. I have never used a locker before and asked one of the staff members of they possibly knew what I was doing wrong. An older lady with glasses basically told me you have nothing to do with the lockers and to sort myself out. While I do understand this is an external service, I expect to be told to sod off with a bit more customer service!

I arrived to deposit a DHL parcel and asked a lady with a WHS badge who gave me the distinct impression she hoped I would go away. She then claimed the DHL console was broken but weakened and called the manager. Nice guy who pecked away nervously at the keyboard while leafing through the DHL manual. I said the parcel was important exam papers and he told me it would be safer to go elsewhere. Leatherhead is a ghost town - WH Smiths can decide whether to help it survive or contribute to its hopelessness. I had to drive to Robert Dyas in Cobham where a pleasant young person dealt confidently with my parcel in 2 minutes. I wonder where I will do next time? Dyas in Epsom or Cobham.

Stupid opening hours which only suit people who do nothing all day and live nearby. They allegedly provide inPost service but that?s a self service that should be available 24/7 instead the lockers are in the shop and if you arrive 1min after 5:30, they won?t allow you to collect your parcel. They?re doing a disservice to people who work all day. In another country if they saw you asking to collect a parcel where no service and no tills from the shop are required, they?d let you in. Here on the dot they switch off and can?t wait to go home. Totally different culture.
I?ll be complaining to inPost too so they can find a better place for the lockers.

Just called into WH Smith's Leatherhead. The store has new lighting so it's nice and bright, and was also lovely and warm. It is very well stocked with great range of books, magazines, games, toys and all types of stationery. Friendly, helpful staff as well. I'd recommend it!

Really bad customer service;Dark - no sufficient lighting?!? Very strange are they broken is the lighting like this for a reason? You can?t actually look at products -this must affect your sales.Staff: Rude, unhelpfulOnce I walked in and there was nobody around.I walked to the back of the shop and there was one lady stocking shelves I asked her if someone could serve me at the till, her response was can you just use the self service?!? What if I was an elderly lady and didn?t know how to use them? I was actually returning an item which is why I needed a human to serve me. She reluctantly came to help me.There is one particular lady who is always very abrupt and never smiles - definitely someCustomer service training needed here.Theft potential: because your staff are never at the front of the shop, there is a high opportunity for people to steal items abs just walk out with no fuss.

I think, they need to change the staff to more friendlier people. We were asking for help and the lady didn't listen to our problem,because we accidentally scanned a item twice and instead of listen she pressed pay and Finish and we had to pay more then what it actually costed. The Lady was rude.

Fabulous stationary section and magazines about any subject you can think of. One that particularly appealed was " Tractor and machines" monthly ! Almost tempted !

Got what I wanted but the shop is dark and dismal in the counter area, and I don't personally like the attempts to sell me stuff like chocolate or water at the checkout.

Better to check online deal first. The day I bought it, they are having a online sale but the shop doesn't affected that price. Few stocks for children activities book but is wortht it better than nothing around.

Awful place.. poor selection of everything. Very dark and too crowded with stuff. I go in a few times a year to try to buy various things - books, stationary, presents etc and always come out without buying a thing. Amazed they are still in business to be honest.
