Appalling service and not expected in a Waitrose store. Self checkout was busy with a queue blocking an aisle in this tiny store and the one and only manned counter refused to serve anyone saying it was for trolley users only, despite there not being anyone with a trolley as you couldn?t actually get around the store if you had one. No sign saying trolley users only above the counter either. Do yourself a favour and walk a few short steps to the Sainsbury?s around the corner.

Staff desperately need training on how to deal with individuals who are SEN. When I was in there I had a member of staff completely ignore me, and instead spoke directly to my autistic 6 year old, who was at the time having an autistic meltdown, telling him that, if he ?didn?t behave, they would call the police?. My son had thrown a chocolate bar on the floor during his meltdown, and when I picked it up to put it back I was told I would ?have to pay for it as he had broken it? (it was a chocolate bar, not a china teapot). Overall a very overwhelming and traumatic experience for him and very poor from the staff member.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Exceptionally rude, judgemental and presumptuous staff. Retraining is definitely due.

It's a fantastic and much needed addition to leatherhead town. Staff are fantastic, very friendly and polite (especially Ray!). Shelves are well stocked and plenty of choice for the sized store.

Not bad on price but no longer great on service and the new look is uninviting. It needed the coffee shop for warmth, atmosphere and yes, customers! Straight lines of tall crammed shelves don?t make it look cheaper, just make it look cheap.But Jose and Ray are exceptionally good - very well informed & with a natural courtesy that saves the day.But it?s no longer my first choice, I spend a fraction of what I used to spend there & it?s a chore not a pleasure.

Always has heavily reduced items, pop in here and have a rummage even if you don?t usually shop at Waitrose.

Was going to get a pastry this morning but saw the person putting them out bare handed. Also saw him lick his finger and then proceed to keep putting the pastries out without washing his hands. Disgusting and won?t be buying bakery products from here.
