We stayed here for two nights while visiting a few places nearby. The photos are quite deceiving, I thought the hotel was the beautiful castle type building on the estate but it's not. There is a separate building on the estate which is the hotel, there are a few tower rooms which are in the castle type building but the actual hotel, Restaurant and pool etc are in the separate building. The hotel is nice, good service from the staff and all communal areas are well maintained. The rooms are a big disappointment though, far too small for two people. The bathroom has mould, shower is claustrophobic and room is very tired. I understand they are renovating the rooms but my review is based on the room I stayed in.The breakfast was OK, the usual offerings of fry up, porridge, cereals and youghurts. We didn't eat in the restaurant but did eat in the bar. Food and drinks were expensive but tasted ok. There is a good curry house two mins from the hotel if you fancy a change.Plenty of parking on site. There is free tea and coffee available in the restaurant and bar which is a bonus.Rooms: Very small and tired

A good hotel, located in the middle of the English countryside. It is divided into several modules: a more modern one where the bar, the restaurant (where breakfast is served) and the pool are located and an older one, a mansion (Horsley Towers) built in the 19th century. We stayed in a Junior Suite in the Horsley Towers: the room was quite large but with not very large spaces (it had two slightly small rooms, probably a single one could not be made due to structural or conservation reasons) but well cared for and clean. The biggest inconvenience is having to go to the modern block (about 5 minutes walk) to have breakfast: in winter, between cold and rain, the walk, although beautiful, is not very pleasant. Also, at Horsley Towers there is no one at the reception desk, so once you enter the building you have to scramble to find your assigned room and carry your suitcases up the stairs, as there is no lift. .

Was a really good hotel, the room was very nice and the staff where also lovely . The pool and other facilities where great. The food was great, especially the included breakfast which was a buffet style. The only down side was a few of the guests . A few groups decided it was ok to stand outside our room and scream, shout and smoke, this was in the very early hours in the morning (2am-3am). But i do understand that the staff cannot control that.

Stayed here with work. The meeting facilities were fabulous. Drink and water stations were excellent. The food was great, a really good choice of lunch and dinner, and an excellent selection of salads and cold meats to complement the hot food choice. Breakfast again was great and lots of choice, having stayed at other Devere sites, would have like the option for poached eggs, or black pudding. The only item which let it down was the rooms are a little dated, storage heaters as the only source of heating not great, when the previous guest didn?t have them on.Food & drinks: Food was excellent

Lovely stay, nice and comfortable - what makes it better is the exceptional service from the hotel team - they go above and beyond to help you with as much information and accommodate. Thank you Livette, Sami and Gentil for sorting out our issue with an unexpected early check out. Will visit again booking through your website. Thanks so much!

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights, the room was clean and had the usual facilities, tea, coffee etc. The bed was very comfortable and you just sank into the mattress, a bit too soft for my personal preferences but that's just me! Likewise for the pillows. The location is absolutely stunning we couldn't have wished for much better surroundings, The Horsley estate is steeped in history. The restaurant was a pleasant experience, friendly attentive staff. The food (Dinner & breakfast) was very well cooked with a wide varied choice my only moan was the food was not very hot, the food was laid out buffet style under heat lamps which didn't seem.to do the job?Would I return and stay again? Absolutely in a heartbeat, my partner and I loved the place and would stay again so we could explore more of the surrounding area.Thank you to all the staff for making our brief stay very enjoyable!!Rooms: Our room was comfortable, I wouldn't say luxurious but it was adequate for our needs.
