Visited 07/08/25 put it n approx £40 of petrol. Credit card bill shows £106? Phoned them up to try and resolve. Put on hold, then passed to another staff member then told to ring tomorrow to speak to the manager. Very frustrating.

Disappointing since the change of ownership. Expensive. Poor service.
Phone ahead to check if you are relying on 24 hour opening. Waitrose produce as good as you expect. Useful if you need a quick greetings card.

It used to be reliable ? friendly staff, fair prices, and fully stocked shelves. Now, it feels neglected.
The service is unwelcoming, communication is difficult, and the shelves are often half-empty. Prices have gone up significantly, and there?s a constant issue with the meal deal not applying properly. If you don?t pay close attention, you?ll end up being charged for each item separately.
It comes across as disorganised and frustrating. At this point, I?d recommend going somewhere else.

Absolutely terrible customer service, went at 4:30am, guy working there could barely speak a word of English. Had to wait for him to finish eating his popcorn and watching his film on his phone to serve me, to then proceed not to be bothered about serving me. I asked him multiple times if he had a product in stock or an alternative, to which his response was i don?t know or no, asked him to at least see what there was, and he couldn?t be bothered to move from his position. Possibly one of the worst and rudest customer service I?ve seen. Looking at other reviews, it seems the owner/manager isn?t bothered as long as his making his money, as nothing is being done about the same consistent reviews.

worst shell in uk by far. car wash and air compressor mostly out of service. if they can maintain it why keep it. i leave home travel 3 miles for nothing most of the time , always out of service ?

Use to be a great garage, staff were friendly, shelves were stocked, prices were fair. But now it?s changed, the staff are rude and can?t speak English, the shelves are empty, the prices have doubled. And the guy that works the evenings refuses to sell coffee.
It?s actually disgusting how much prices have gone up, my advice is go elsewhere.

I have used this garage for about 4 years daily , I would spend about £140 per week on fuel as I commute to Croydon, I would also buy all my food here so probably £60 -£100 plus per week, since shell select has taken over the prices are massively inflated plus the usual staple foods are always out of stock, it goes without saying I have not shopped there since and have taken my business elsewhere.. shame really as it was so convenient..

Very bad customer service and very rude girl working there at time of my visit just after 5 am today.. Don't ever go there it's not worth it there are many petrol stations nearby who have much better customer experience..

This used to be a great mini Waitrose with friendly helpful staff. Since the re-fit and apparent change in operating (old Waitrose staff gone and new staff wear Shell outfits not Waitrose) the shop and service are awful. Much less product range, staff are rude - do not use any longer.

It was a nice garage until the refurb, they now stock less food and the friendly staff have been replaced with people with hygiene issues.

It's advertised as 24hr but isn't I have a same day courier business that operates 24hrs and this garage is 1min drive around the corner from where I live but every time time I go there at night for fuel its closed they put up a badly written sign on the night service window saying sorry were closed at first I thought it was a one off but I've been there multiple times throughout the night on multiple days and weeks this clearly isn't a one off even this morning at 4am and the sign was still there on the window so obviously she'll doesn't want to earn money at night but luckily tesco down the road does and have 24hr pay at pump service so you can get fuel in the early hours it seems from my experience that this place closes around midnight and 6am as I've never been able to get fuel from here between these times if this is the case please change your signage and opening times on your
website to reflect this

"My friend tried to buy a pack of cigarettes, even though he is over 30 and showed it, but they refused to sell it due to an 'ID issue.' When I gave my ID to my friend, they still refused. When I went to buy them myself, they continued to cause problems. The staff is incompetent and unprofessional."
