“A very good, but expensive, shop. Well worth a browse. The colleagues that work there are very friendly and appear knowledgeable. There main focus appears to be very attractive furniture. Parking is easy, with a very big car park just outside and a reasonable Waitrose very close by.”

“This is a tricky review to write. We’d booked the afternoon tea, dinner, B&B package with friends. I was hopeful that our experience would differ from recent bad reviews on here. Firstly, the afternoon tea was reasonably good; nice sandwiches, fresh scones etc. Staff were friendly but one or two lacked basic training, taking away unfinished drinks/mixers etc. The pond/lake in the garden was empty and covered in green algae. Our room (Leonardslee) was spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom. The little patio garden was nice but a little unkempt. The room was clean apart from blood stains on the carpet which wasn’t very nice. The bed was amazingly comfortable! Dinner was a decent standard, perhaps not to 3 rosette level, but tasty and well presented. The dining room was soulless and lacked atmosphere. We all felt this. After dinner we moved to the lounge. Unfortunately this was a drab room with dated furnishings/decor/carpet etc. Having stayed at other hotels within the group, Langshott feels like the poor relation. It’s tired and desperately needs investment - it could be stunning. It deserves to be so. We did have an enjoyable stay and overall it was a positive experience but there needs to be more done here to bring it inline with its sister hotels.”
