The food wasn?t fresh, and it was obvious. The order was ready in just 10 minutes, which makes me think Chef Mike was involved. The chips tasted like they were re-fried, the pork belly was dry (likely not fresh or re-fried), and the sausage wasn?t hot. Cooking fresh, made-to-order food isn?t difficult, so I?m not sure why they?d take the risk.
That being said, everything else was great?lovely pub, nice atmosphere, and fantastic staff.

Lovely, clean and airy pub. Great atmosphere and easy to chat with just ambient music . Would definately return. Never ate but told the food is good?? Will just have to go back to eat now! ?

Sunday roast was mediocre at best. Meat was good, mash and potatoes were ok, but the parsnips were raw and the crackling was hard as nails and some was only half cooked.
Deserts weren't much better.

Nice selection if beers and a friendly service in a clean comfortable pub. We didn't eat so I can't comment on the food.

Pub is fine, friendly staff - but they recently put massive bright screens with adverts all over the place which is horrible.

Staff are really friendly and service is very good. Decent place for a pint or two but recently they introduced a new menu, which is really disappointing.
On looking at the menu, the choices look great. First time I tried the new menu I just had the mustard rarebit. Whilst it was tasty it was just one piece of toast and was £9 as a starter.
Tonight I went for the cheese and bacon burger. £13.50. It was dry, thin and tasteless. Pretty sure this was not a freshly cooked burger but something precooked and heated up. My son had the slow cooked pork belly with bubble and squeak. Three tiny strips of dry pork belly on some mash and cabbage. £17. Both plates came to the table less than ten minutes after ordering. None of this was freshly cooked. It?s pre cooked and just heated up and served. Really disappointing.
Won?t be going back there to eat, but will go back for the beer and the friendly staff.

Lovely food great value for money. We had roast turkey and I can safely say it was gorgeous.
