The most underrated shop in Horley. It has three floors and sell furniture like many sofas . They also have a coffee ship on the first floor with good views of the railway line.

My wife and I visited CB, Horley on Sunday, 6th July, 2025. We were looking to purchase some new bedding.
There was only one sales assistant on duty and she was so incredibly helpful and professional. To begin with we were one item short of what we needed so she told us that she would leave a note for her colleague to investigate the following day, with the expectation that the order might be fulfilled. My wife left her contact details.
Within ten minutes of leaving the store my wife received a text message from this lady informing her that she had located the outstanding item, in store. We returned to CB and completed the transaction.
This employee went that extra mile for us and it was very much appreciated. She was thorough, helpful and very professional. An excellent five star customer service experience for us!

We had a new carpet and 3 piece suite ordered with Collingwoods whose past service has been first rate. Day of coordinated delivery, the carpet fitters arrived at the appointed time and were courteous, very pleasant and industrious - first class. The suite duly arrived around its appointed time and again the delivery crew were very pleasant and got on with the delivery and pick up for disposal of our old furniture. Great service by all concerned Thankyou!!

We ordered 2 sofas from Horlwy Branch, great salesperson, when we paid final amount, weeks after ordering, we were told sofas were in warehouse and a delivery date could be arranged there and then, we asked that delivery be held off as we hadn't got rid of our sofas, we were told no problem, they will be waiting for us when we were ready..
We phoned up, when our sofas were to be collected from us, and we were told by the shop, yes our sofas were in and a date for delivery was arranged..
However the day before the delivery, we were informed, our sofas were not in the warehouse !!!!!!..another date was arranged, but as you can imagine, we were not very happy, as we then had to wait another week, and we were then sitting on Garden chairs !!!!!..
We asked for a manager to call us, and were told that would be arranged for the next day, no phone call was received, we had to phone the shop to speak to a manager, 3 days later..
This service we were given is unacceptable, you have let us down badly..

We had carpet fitted by Collingwood Batchellor and, as always, the service was exemplary. Ron?s advice and guidance throughout the purchase was really helpful and the fitters did an amazing job. We are delighted with the result. We have used Collingwood Batchellor on many occasions over the years. It?s a traditional family run department store and the quality, service and reliability they provide is becoming increasingly hard to find.

They have so much stock of everything. We were looking for a sofa & chair & found what we were looking for quite quickly. The staff are very friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Always find what I need! Friendly, helpful staff. I have a real sentimental attachment to Collingwood as I'd spend my pocket money here on toys. As an adult, the spending is a bit more like kitchenware and new carpet!
