Stopped here after walking The Devils Punch Bowl and really pleased we did.Food was brilliant and served with care and thought. We had Toasties and Jacket potatoes, the sides were served in ramekins meaning it didn't get all over the food before you were ready to eat.The service was fantastic and we were made extremely welcome in a peaceful and pleasant setting.Prices were also extremely reasonable in comparison to the Cafe at the visitor centre.Dietary restrictions: Our son has a Peanut allergy and the staff were very accommodating towards these requirements.Kid-friendliness: Our 3 children were given a free pot of ice-cream for their politeness and they ate all their food because it was so well prepared.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice wide doors and made provision for accessibility needs.

This is an incredible little cafe. A really good selection of classic freshly made food (including toasties, omelette, bagels) and drinks (lovely coffee, alcohol also available), served quickly and absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the cafe is clean with a cosy atmosphere. Will definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Great veggie options, staff knowledgeable and flexible on ingredients in regards to allergies

We stopped here after a hike at the Devil's Punch Bowl. We had a delicious slice of cake (pear and frangipane) and a lovely apple and rhubarb crumble with lots of custard. Our little dog was welcome and was given a couple of treats by the owner. Tea was very good too. Service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely go again!

Wonderful cafe situated 2 mins from devil's punchbowl area. Has much less of a tourist / national trust day visitor vibe to it, and more of a people in the know / locals vibe. There's a huge selection of cakes and snacks, from bacon and egg baps, through pastries, teacakes, and lots of homemade cakes. Outside seating is limited, but there's a fairly high turnover as many visitors are walkers, cyclists, etc, so they're not there for long. Parking is fairly limited, and the toilets are very clean. There's fresh local ice cream and a huge range of teas and coffees. Open 9am 3pm weekdays, closed Tuesdays, 9 till 4pm weekends.

Hmm, £11.55 for two sandwiches to take away (cheese salad and tomato, pesto and avocado on sliced bread from a packet). I expect to pay more for things made to order but not that much - will be more organised and take packed lunch to the Devils Punchbowl next time!
