Small but is refreshing to see all fruit and veg in such a good condition. It puts Waitrose to shame.
Staff always pleasant and happy to assist.

This is the standard to which I hold all other food stores. Get there early or miss out on the freshest pastries and bread.

This M&S store is a little cramped as far as the aisles go, but it's well organised and always impeccably tidy. The products here are always brilliantly faced up! You can tell the staff care about the appearance of the store. Prices are a little dear, but that's just M&S for you. Keep stocking those delicious apple turnovers, and I'm going to keep coming back! ?

M&S are unscrupulous and Chair, Archie Norman and CEO Stuart Machin, are unreachable because you can?t get past their robotic army ?Executive Team? also know as Customer Service Agents (when they forget which email footer to use). Eight months ago, whilst legally and appropriately parked within their car park attached to one of their food halls, my family car was extensively damaged by their own HGV delivering stock.
We happened to be in the store when other customers were alerting the staff to what was happening in the car park. The staff were dismissive and didn?t do anything and verbally said as much. Little did we know that the car that had been hit, was ours. As we approached our car with bags full of M&S produce, independent witnesses approached us with video footage of their HGV driving straight into the side of our car, and repeatedly reversing back and forth alongside it, taking our wheel arch and most of the back and side panels with it. The damage was immense, thousands of pounds worth of immense.
The driver of the HGV approached us and in front of us and witnesses said he had done it but didn?t know what to do. A Foodhall staff member came to the rescue (not!) with the sole intention to get the HGV out of the car park so as not to disturb other customers experience?what the! We enquired as to whether they could assist the situation and they said ?it wasn?t their problem?. The HGV driver called his boss on his mobile using the speaker. We could hear everything and even the moment when his boss said ?don?t admit it? and told him to leave the scene. The driver mentioned to his boss that he had admitted it and even so, he was again, told to ?not engage with us and to not provide insurance details?. We interjected and said to, the said ?boss?, that we and witnesses had heard the fraudulent attempt to not accept liability, prevent giving insurance details and reminded him it was foolish given we had video evidence of the HGV doing the damage.
Once home, we called M&S Customer Services to tell them what had and hadn?t happened, and that it wasn?t what we?d have expected from a supposedly ?customer focussed business? and that we needed help. Customer services were equally unhelpful and stated the car park, although attached to their store, wasn?t their responsibility and the HGV did not belong to them so that also wasn?t their problem. The latter claim was incorrect as M&S had bought the HGVs off Gist Limited so in fact it was their problem whether they liked to admit or not.
We contacted our insurer, sent the witness details, videos and photos and they took over as far as insurance things go. Over the next couple of months the process was laborious and challenging. The robotic M&S agents remained disengaged and unapologetic. A few stressful months plus hours and hours of calls later, the car was fixed.
Cut to a month ago when we were alerted by solicitors that they were acting for us and our insurers to retrieve the money for the repair and replacement vehicle costs that M&S logistics team and insurers haven?t paid and to date, won?t pay. On reaching out via the existing email thread with M&S, the same unapologetic, not our problem responses have been received.
We have never received an apology, a call (when they have suggested one would happen) or any help or assistance with any of this.
Throughout this whole sorry process M&S have shown zero accountability or responsibility for any of this even though it was a branded vehicle they own and within their stores carpark.
So for all you M&S customer, be aware?
This is not just a car accident, this is an M&S car accident (they?ll deny).

Empty shelves and poor disabled parking accessibility.

At first I was so happy to see all of the younger employees having a good shift, conversing with one another. This was then shut down immediately by some of the managers having a tantrum with them telling them to stop talking and keep separated from each other. This was very upsetting to witness I must admit I am fairly disappointed and I felt very sorry for the younger employees. Amend this instantly.

I shopped in Haslemere today , it?s already frustrating that we have to use self service tills ,with no discount for the fact we are doing staff jobs. But adding insult to the occasion , as I leave the store I am nearly run over by 2 oiks clearly legging it with a trolley full of meet ?..no staff to be seen there either ! What are the food stores playing at ?.. why do we have to pay for the stealing that?s clearly not tackled anymore ?

I've been faithful to M&S for 61 out of my 78 years, for food, clothes, shoes, and homewares and occasionally for furniture and flowers. I still have a pale biscuit coloured pair of linen wide leg trousers bought in 1974 and they are still worn.
That in itself speaks volumes. My 5 children have been mainly kitted out at M&S and now grand and great grandchildren enjoy wearing their clothes, snuggling down under their bed-linen and eating their delicious top-class food. It's had many iterations and weathered many storms but the sun is shining once more on a well loved High Street stalwart.

Went to M&S Haslemere yesterday, got my shopping, no tills open, only self service, asked for a till to be opened, as I know if a customer asks they have to oblige, but self service just shook her head, and told me only self service , offered to show me, but I don't work for M& S!!!

Nice store with easy convenient parking. Food quality is great albeit pricey. Worth a visit for a nice treat.
Oh and definitely buy the raspberry sorbet!

M&S food is always of good quality. But this smaller foodhall is not really a place to go food shopping. More space in this store is giving over to gift ranges than regular food. So it is fine if you're off to a party or thinking about hosting one. But but if you want regular food at reasonable prices another well-known supermarket brand is just across the road.

I do not rate the shop 5 stars, that's the rating of my girlfriend (is beautiful icl).Bought a chocolate orange, dipped it in chocolate, and to my utter disbelief, there was no orange inside.
