It?s a Travelodge so you kinda know what you?re getting. Still, was clean. Coffee machine on the fritz, which could have been catastrophic.

I'm in my room right now and there's no water at all. Apparently the boiler broke down, they don't know when it's going to be fixed and the lady at the reception says there's nothing she can do.

The weekend(23rd-25th )we went, we were told , the week before, the restaurant was shut for a refurbishment and the receptionist couldn't recommend where to get a evening meal or a breakfast

Got here and managed to find parking easily enough. After getting to reception I realised that the bar and restaurant was closed for renovations, which was a bit annoying as I wasn't notified at all at the time of booking and would have brought food had I known breakfast wasn't an option.I checked in and went to my room on the top floor. The room was fine although didn't have a fridge as advertised, and the WiFi signal was so poor I quickly gave up using it. The hotel itself is further away from town than you might think so the elderly or disabled would probably have a harder time getting in without a cab. All of these things are small but considering it was nearly £100 for one night I'd expect a bit more.Walkability: About 25 minutes walking to town.Food & drinks: Currently unavailable due to renovations.

A bed for the night was all I needed, and breakfast. Not a lot to ask. Everytime i needed to go back to my room the key card wouldn't work. So 3 attempts on 1 occassion is too many times to have to walk all the way back down to reception. It happened on every occasion. The shower trap was dirty, and the curtain had lots of holes in it. Thank goodness I didn't use it. The Disabled parking had 3 cars not displaying any badges.Rooms: Did not get the room advertised on their site. Dusty and so cold.Food & drinks: Reasonable prices.Good selection of both food and drink. The breakfast was appetising. The cheese burger and chips were lovely.Noteworthy details: All the staff were excellent, friendly, knowledgeable of the local area, and more than happy to help, especially Steve, who was patient & understanding.

Paid extra for standard plus room in "quiet" area. Lights and facilities well below what we're used to in cheap hotels and wife woken at 4am by drunk revellers. Bedside phone charging point loses power when bedside lights turned off and actually drained what was left in the battery!! So no alarm next morning and overslept. No instructions with anything and no phone to ask reception. But pleasant if ineffective staff. Will certainly stay elsewhere on next visit to Guildford and avoid Travelodge anywhere in future.

The rooms were clean to Travelodge standards. The hotel is well used for sure. Staff was very friendly and will recommend for a cheap stay.

Decent budget hotel, room was clean, good shower. Breakfast was a good show for a Travelodge. Location good for a night in Guildford.
