Lovely staff, rooms basic but comfortable and clean. Only drawback was difficulty finding somewhere to park. Railway was very close by but not a problem with windows closed.

No complaints for the price. Clean, very good condition, great staff. £77 for night is far cheaper than elsewhere. Dog friendly too for a small extra charge and free parking. Room decor looks quite new. Breakfast an extra £10.49pp which is reasonable value for a cooked buffet, cereals, drinks, etc

A quiet room was apparently one that backed onto a railway line so not quiet! As I had to shut the window on a hot night because of the train noise I didn't get much sleep!

One of the Best lodge, the main reason is the place with is so quiet and friendly in holidays its lil bit premium but worth it.

Room was noisy with the window open but very quiet with it closed. No air con but fan provided. Bed was supprtive but may be showing its age. Handy for a gym and Evans bike shop. Easy walk along river into town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice for breakfast.

The hotel is very pleasant with the bar and restaurant open till late. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. However, I visited on a very hot day (37°C) and even though there is a fan in the room, there is no air-conditioning. The room was boiling hot and the quilt provided was a thick, winter one. It was unbearable. Another negative worth mentioning is that there is a HUGE gym located in the same building on the ground floor, open 24 hours. I guess my room must have been above it (like most of the rooms), as I was woken up by constant banging at around 5:30am in the morning, which sounded like weights being dropped. So overall I had very little sleep that night due to the heat and the noise. The bathroom and shower were very clean, but then again there is no hairdryer provided. Three stars from me, sorry.

I?ve been staying here for a while now and the staff are absolutely exceptional and are all very friendly. Brilliant service would really recommend.
