Huge thanks to the manager and team at Tesco Express ? Guildford.
On Sunday, my day off, I thought I had lost my phone earlier that morning. I returned to the store feeling anxious, and despite it being a busy day, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The manager even took time to check the CCTV footage with me, showing patience and professionalism throughout.
In the end, the phone was found at my workplace ? but their support truly meant a lot. In such a demanding job, their attitude deserves real appreciation.

Consistently closed before their close time. Clearly their staff don?t care about their close times and would rather not do their minimum wage job properly. Embarrassing.

Worst place ever. An Indian employee at night didn?t let me buy alcohol because he didn?t accept my ID. I?m 27!! And he saw me talking to some people and he assumed they were my friends and didn?t let them buy either so their night was ruined. Mind you, they had valid IDs and he saw them interact with me and didn?t let them buy. Even if I was outside of the supermarket.

Overall not a bad store but their fresh produce and dairy items need to be checked more regularly. Often moldy items. Bought a cucumber today, when I got home and unpacked shopping, one end was rotting. Bread often only has 1-2 days life. Items with cream last a day. Ive had no problem with the other grocery stores in town. I do think this is also an issue with store refrigeration. Some not cold enough and doors left open. These issues are really the only thing letting the store down. Staff are lovely.

Worst customer service. I dropped by asking for a fork because usually supermarkets do giveaway free cutlery. The girl at the till said you can?t take one if you haven?t bought anything. It?s not about what she said. It?s the way she responded. Very mannerless, arrogant and rude. I was really unwell to respond. I just came out of the store utterly disappointed. She made me look like I tried to steal something whereas the only thing I asked was ?can I get a fork?? This happened today, 17/02/24 around 3:15. Even I work in a supermarket store. This is not the right way to speak to customers.

I was banned from Tesco Express in Guildford by a Security guard not Tesco management . The Security guard stopped me when I was leaving the store sayingyou are stealing get out I said to The Security guard I haven't stolen anything he replied by saying you stealing get out so I ask to speak to the Manager the Security guard said no you banned. He would not let me speak to the Managerand would not let me back in the shop to do my shopping i have never stolen anything from a shop.I have no Criminal record for shoplifting.I have not been banned by the Manager.I have not been served with a written/printed/signed banning notice.The Security guard does not have the authority to ban me, only managers do.I have been shopping at Tesco for over 30 years. I feel let down by Tescoas a customer. I feel offended that I have been called a thief. The Security guard should not be working at Tesco.I would like an apology from Tesco.I would like my right to shop at Tesco as I have not been banned.

Paedo-looking males in there who keep doing a dog- whistle noise.Most of them are ugly themselves..Chavy customers( some thing with a grey tracksuit on) with their sisters, or cousins! Or girlfriends pointing to the freezer dept AFTER they finish at self-service till.Again, they were ugly,too.Don't do irony much in this area do they!..

Conveniently placed between the station and the friary centre, this small shop is handy for buying snacks, drink or other essentials, all at a good price.
