Today I visited the Schuh store in Guildford. I was assisted by Abigail, whose name I specifically asked for because I was truly impressed by her courtesy, speed, patience, respect, and genuine desire to help me.
She moved around the store assisting other customers as well, but always with grace and professionalism, kindly encouraging me to take my time when considering my purchase. Congratulations on having such a remarkable employee, both as a professional and as a person.
On the other hand, I had a negative experience with another staff member, who made me feel uncomfortable while I was trying on a pair of shoes and looking at some others near the exit. I felt as though she was suspicious of me, possibly fearing that I might steal something, as she repeatedly asked if I needed help, in a manner that felt more pressuring than helpful.
I believe further training is needed for your staff, so they can better assess customer behavior and create a welcoming and pleasant shopping experience, not one that makes customers feel uneasy.
Thankfully, Abigail truly made the difference with her professionalism and left me with a positive impression of your store.

Came in with my sister who has a lot of sensory issues and struggles to find shoes that are comfortable and stylish at the same time. Oscar was very happy to help and must have spent at least 40 mins with us, going back and forth to pull different pairs for my sister to try on. He was so lovely and was very helpful as well! Thank you!

The store has a great range of shoes for men and women, and seemingly plenty of options of sizes to try on to try and find what's right for you. It was really busy Sunday morning, but Ellie was absolutely fantastic at making sure we were looked after and super patient and lovely with me asking to try lots of different options. I usually hate shopping, especially shoe shopping, but she made sure that today was a good day.

Went to buy new shoes. The guy really took his time checking the cash I gave him for some reason. It was awkwardly too long. The shoes I bought are good though.

Went on a busy day to buy trainers for my toddler daughter who hates shopping for shoes. She chose a pair but when it came the moment to try them on she got quite upset as always. Two employees, LuciAnne and Jerome, helped her through the process with the patience of saints and an incredible deal of care and respect towards a little human. I was so impressed by their service and their kindness was truly heartwarming. Thank you, Chiara&Cassandra (who's very happy with her new pink shoes now).
