“I was lucky to spend nine days in Peaslake Village and loved the pies and the friendly atmosphere in this store. It was my favorite routine to ride the Surrey Hills, have coffee and cake at the bus stop, buy wine and pies for dinner. They made us felt like locals. Wonderful time. Thank you?”

“I am very surprised by the negative reviews that mention "rude staff": Which staff members might they be? All the ones I have been served by (Bala, Gabriel, Siri, June and Ro) have all been very polite, helpful and have gone out of their way to accommodate. I am in the store every day as it's very near to my place of work, and use the PO during most of these visits, and have only ever been treated with courtesy and respect by all staff, both of the shop and the PO, even when it has been extremely busy due to either the time of year such as Christmas and the volume of parcels sent, or if there are more customers than usual). Definitely a 5 star service.Incidentally - I do recall a customer (it could very well be the same person who left a 1 star review a couple of months back who mentions it apparently "isn't a Post Office") having difficulty in understanding that the shop counter is separate from the Post Office, and in order to send anything then it must be done at the appropriate counter, around 4ft to the left. It's not really fair to have a squawk if the wrong counter was used - despite it being well signposted.”

I’ve heard them with elderly customers who can get confused and young customers who have no idea all are treated with equal professionalism. “The Guildford office is no longer a mail center (sorting office), and hasn't been so for at least 10 years. All mail posted in GU, TW, SW & KT postcode areas is now sent to the Jubilee Mail Center at Houndslow and then returned to the appropriate delivery office.Guilford office is now only a delivery office.”

“If you're mountain biking (or road biking) in the surrey hills area, this is a wonderful wonderful shop. Rounds of piping tea, incredible home-made cakes, pasties and pastries, some quite up market deli stuff and some down market doughnuts and things called yum-yums for the likes of me. The greatest thing has to be the atmosphere: irrespective of how much mud I am caked in there's always a friendly welcome and the even the local like to chat and chit. So if you're heading down of barry knows best, The alpine forest, rollercoaster, in search of golden birdies, telegraph, yogurt pots, parklife etc etc etc be sure to call in.”
