m..Nationwide without any warning froze my account that same afternoon, thinking I had stolen the funds! I sent proof to nationwide fraud dept that I funded him and he even sent me a screenshot of his bank statement proving this when I threatened legal action against him yet Nationwide has still frozen my account and called me a ?suspect? this morning. I haven?t been able to buy food or drinks for my 2 daughters or maintenance payment for the month due to this bank thinking they?re God! They said I can withdraw £175 as that?s what I funded my account with even though I have recently sold my property and funded my account with £67,000!! Am taking this to the newspapers and social and I really hope their complaints department is ready for legal action. Update: I?ve been informed that the investigation can take up to the 9th November! That?s more than 30 days since they will have frozen my account. Today it?s already been over 2 weeks and still nothing from them not even the courtesy of an update. I have been receiving all kinds of late payment charges from all the direct debits which have failed. Shameful

Chloe - this review is because of you, very unhelpful! Wasted my time, all I wanted is to withdraw money from my saving account. Yet Chloe said a payslip is needed per withdrawal?I showed a payslip last visit this month, how can u possibly show another payslip if I haven?t been paid yet in the same month!! What a joke! I will be switching my current account and saving account to a different bank!

I went into Nationwide Guildford this morning to make some enquiries about savings. I was met by a charming, helpful woman, who was able to answer my questions easily, and simply. I felt valued and welcomed, and it was lovely!!!

Going to a bank (ahem, sorry, Building Society) is never meant to be fun. But that shouldn't stop it being a positive experience. Lovely staff, professional welcome. Some quirks to the way that NW does stuff but can happily tolerate that because the branch is easy to get to...and still exists!

It appears that they think it's acceptable to cancel appointments without informing the affected client. They don't honour commitments or respect your time. Not good characteristics for people responsible for your money.

Brilliant! Went in, I was helped at the front in a friendly manner. I was seen very quickly and the whole process didn't take more than 10-15 minutes.
