We've been coming to this Majestic for a few times now. The store has a wide range but Jack's advise has always been a hit! We really trust his recommendations and the other members of the team has been nice and welcoming as well

Disappointing reaction? just returned a £33 bottle of wine I bought earlier in the day as the cork was not fully In the bottle and the top of the seal was not there. I understand that it may have been a production issue, but when bringing it back for an exchange the guy serving me had an abrasive attitude as if I should not be coming back to swap it out. No apology or sorry for the inconvenience, only that it was not unusual and just in production the cork was not fully inserted. I have been using Guildford Majestic for an around ten years and this is the first time I have had such a poor reaction. I was served earlier by a very friendly young woman, who started only 3 weeks ago, when I originally bought my wine (not just this bottle) otherwise it would have been a one star for this experience. Perhaps he should take a lesson from the new person. Thankfully all the other bottles of this wine that would have been behind it were fine so swapping it out was straight forward.

I love it when I get to give an awesome, 5-star review! The prices are great, plus delivery! Then, to top it off, one item was out, and they replaced it with a more pricey item that I actually wanted more, and gave me a free bottle of Sassy cider to say sorry mate! This is what makes them my choice for wine and spirits!

Majestic Guildford is our local, so we often pop in on a Friday to savour the latest showcase beverages. Firstly, IMHO the staff who work here are the unsung heroes of the retail world. These guys are passionate about their trade, impressively knowledgeable, unpretentious, eloquent and helpful. Jake deserves a special mention, who whilst holding fort on a Friday evening at the end of a long day, was as ever willing to engage, advise, and chaperone us through the cornucopia of grape juice to find our personalised elixir in the world of wine and sparkles. Top marks all round.

Popped in today on the off chance of some same day support with stock as required stock due to a breakdown of our draught system. The team were very accommodating and were able to support above and beyond with stock and delivery. If we weren?t tied to a brewer I would return more often. Just wanted to note how great they were at Guildford and thank you.

A great wine shop where you can find more choices of wine that are hardly to see or find in the supermarkets. I only visited here once and very happy to get the sparkling red wine and sweet sparkling white wine I am looking for. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I will definitely come back again.

Knowledge staff, much better selection than any supermarket. Also actually great everyday value that is more consistent value than those supermarkets. Finally the team are always genuinely friendly and interested.

Visited twice in the last month and received nothing but excellent and welcoming service. The team there are so knowledgable and helpful. Jonny in particular has guided me with some brilliant white wine choices (mainly Chardonnay). A lovely experience and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Finally dropped by at the shop at Woodbridge Road, Guildford. Was greeted by Harry, a friendly and very patient young man. Harry was quick to pick up what my preferences are. With nothing in mind of buying anything, I ended by six different bottles Harry recommended. Though I have yet to try the wines bought, it was money happily spent!

I have been coming here for a long time. Unfortunately has gone rapidly downhill in last few weeks. The new staff lack finesse, not very polite or helpful. The guy in the shop didn't offer to pack the wine or offer help loading in to the car. Not something you should do when customers are spending thousands of pounds per year with you. I will give them one more chance and then move permanently to Laithwaites. So Majestic Wines, what do you have to say. How will you remedy this and get me back as a very valuable customer?

Always a fantastic range of wines in store to suit all tastes and budgets, with expert salespeople available to point you the gems. Beer and spirits range could better though.

Never had anything other than great service from this branch. Also, during lockdown their deliveroo offerings have been a godsend - and fast, so fast! Current record from ordering to delivery is just under 9 minutes! Staff are obviously working very hard. Thanks, very much appreciated.

I recently wrote twice to the Magestic CEO at his invitation in an email from him and he completely ignored me. I was offering constructive suggestions, as requested, to potentially improve Majestic. Leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
