Bikes we bought are poorly assembled and will have to take them back. They really need to have people that know what they are doing when building their bikes. Rather a slap-dash job. Bolts not tightened sufficiently, cables routed incorrectly... Have bought bikes on different occasions and both have had similar problems.

E-bike collection.
Now firstly the chap was quite nice, However.
I have not ridden a bicycle for 30 years, I am getting one whilst my car is fixed, so the idea of traveling without a steel box round me is rather daunting.
The bike its self is nice, it works, I appreciate there are only 3 buttons an up, a down, and an on off, which does which is good to know.
Any way the handover was a bit suck it and see taking into account I was about to travel 12 miles on it.
Good news is I am still alive and had been able to plot my route using cycle tracks that were empty (I passed 3 cyclists on route, the rest were in the roads??).
So those were my thoughts, I may have been old enough to be his father but a few prompts on new tech is very useful.
After owning the bike for 2 months, I have just found out that I need to blue tooth it into my phone to change the power settings! what is the world coming too.
I prefer the good old days where a threat with a spanner or hammer normally made things work how you wanted them to.
They do sell number plates by the way.

Disappointing service from in store staff.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVISE I'VE EVER SEEN! the employee by the name of jaspal, served me and my brother today, first we where made to wait 10 minutes with nobody at the till, then finally he shows up. halfway through serving us he takes a personal call in front of us and toke long pause between scanning item on the phone, then as I politely ask him to hurry up, he just ignored me and kept doing so, SERVERELY OUTRAGED!!!

Customer service desk was initially under staffed and I was inclined to walk out but after stopping one of the wandering staff someone was mustered who dealt with number plates and from there things improved and once the formalities of identification were done a new number plate was produced within five minutes.

I went to collect brake fluid for my car, I asked one member if he could check if it was compatible with my car on their system, he laughed and said it's not for this car. I later found out it is compatible with my car, when I went to pay he realised he was wrong and tried to sell me a smaller bottle, for just a pound less, which I didn't want. Service isn't ideal and made me wonder if it was a gender issue

Wasn't pleased with the customer service. Wanted advice on a car seat and had to ask twice for this. First time I was fobbed off to look and come to the till asked again and someone came. I brought the car seat and asked for it to be fitted they said yes and then said a few minutes later they couldn't do it. I find this unacceptable considering the fact I had just spent £115 on a car seat. I was asked if I could carry it myself to which I said no as I had my toddler with me and ladymead Guildford is a busy car park thankfully one of the guys came and carried to the car however it would have taken them 5 mins to fit I even asked if I could come back later for the seat to be fitted, the guy at the till said No not today which I was really annoyed at

Popped in to get some screen wash. Cashier was polite. Store appeared clean and shelves full.

Impossible to enter valid registration number. It is correct and a valid registration. Help is impossible nothing has resolved issue after many attempts. The crippling factor is attempting a web purchase without your registration The form goes round and round. Total waste of time. 45 minutes to purchase a 380 stop lamp. Result Halfords don?t care !!

Hi, I went to Halfords to get brake light bulb for a Ford Connect Van and staff very helpful asks my van No presumably to get the correct part no, came home to replace the bulb and it is wrong part. Now I have to drive 10 mins to go and exchange the bulb. What a waste of time and not to forget waste of fuel which is detriment to environment.

Shockingly bad service. Be aware that if you buy an item online for 'pickup in store in 1 hr' it doesn't actually mean that it's in stock. I bought online for pickup, set off, only to receive a call to say the item was out of stock, so had to turn back, waste of time. You can't call the store because it "has no direct line", even though the store called me on a fixed direct line. So Halfords takes your money regardless of whether the item is in stock or not.

I am sorry to say, after a number of fairly positive experiences in the past, that Halfords have badly let themselves down today. I booked a battery collection and fitting via the website yet, when I arrived and opened the bonnet for the fitter, he turned and said "we can't fit these". I can't imagine, for one minute, that no one else has ever tried to have them fit a battery to the same vehicle (Discovery Sport). All they need to do is update the website to this effect. Would have saved me a wasted journey, the fuel costs and not made Halfords look so stupid.

We picked the mermaid bike last week in store, the young man that served us was really helpful and told us that the items that were on the bike were with it, eg baby carrier on the back and the basket were all included, today I picked up the bike and had to pay for the basket. The basket was not on the bike and had to be taken off the shop floor one. I had to pay an extra £10 for it, not sure if that was very fair and luckily I had taken a picture of the bike last week, to show that I was correct. Not a happy person, but my granddaughter will be, so thanks anyway.

Not gonna lie, this experience was dreadful. I went to collect my new bike I ordered on Halfords on Sunday 29th September, I was told I needed ID. It didn?t say this on the confirmation email but apparently its somewhere on the website. So it was pushed back to Sunday 6th October. As I was setting off to collect it, I got a phone call from Halfords that it hadn?t been built, they were only aware of it the night before (which is baffling), and there was a fault in the bike so had to order a new one. I finally collected the bike the following Thursday (yesterday), with my ID.. I was told by a different employee that I didn?t even need it! There are already issues with the bike. Do not trust Halfords to build your bike for you. The tyres were hardly pumped, the bell was loose, saddle wasn?t adjusted properly and the straps on the pedals came off before I?d even cycled it home. Please don?t make the mistake I made and go to a decent bike shop - steer clear of Halfords at all costs !!
