Guy called george (receptionist) was very rude. Unprofessional and mannerless. Was not friendly at all. I booked my car for the tyres replacement and he came to me saying your tps valve sensor needs to be replaced. Wich cost over £100 from the main dealership.I said to him put the same valve back. I had no problem and it never shown the sign on dashboard and i know it?s in working condition. But he being stubborn and refused me to put it back stating it?s faulty. Ive spoken to halfords helpline and the branch manager, all are the same unprofessional team and refusing to accept their colleague?s rude and unprofessional behaviour. Hence i took the same valve to local garage. They put it back for £10 a week ago. And all sorted. No problem. No dasbhboard signs at all since then. Even inflated and deflated the tyre with same tyre valve,They need to learn professionalism. And treat their customers with respect. Ive been using this branch since 3 years. And won?t be using ever again. Avoid at any cost!!!

Shoddy MOT, they should be shut!!!! How can one of your sites detect faulty breakes 2 weeks apart from prev MOT where nothing has been noticed. And how can the tech of the 2nd MOT say that it depends of the MOT tester carrying out te MOT when is the same law and guidance for all the MOT testing sites overall England.

Cancelled the booking when I turned up. Attempt to contact beforehand was a single phone call the day before which didn?t go through, no message left. MOT testing equipment broken, no one to service a car either. Not sure what work they actually do.

AVOID?.. Not even worthy of a star?!Booked my cars in for Wheel alignment, as was concerned with safety of transporting my children, Arrived 10 minutes early as requested and was told I would need to leave it by a very rude man behind the counter for the whole day and even then he might not even get round to doing it then or bring it back next week. Complained to me he hadn?t had his lunch yet and Was rude to the customer in front. He told her he was not having a car around for over 30 minutes for £20 on the ramps any longer. Lost business and reputation for what I thought was a well known safe reputable brand. And the only plus, I managed to get a refund issued in 5 days!!!

Avoid - understaffed and bad communication! I booked my MOT retest 6 days in advance as I only had a specific day of the week I was free and could dedicate to taking time off to retest. I then arrive promptly for the retest only to be told all the MOT testers were not there today so it wouldn?t be possible. I was not contacted beforehand about this. I was then promised a call back that day to confirm when I could next come in which never happened too. I had to wait 30 minutes on hold calling them. I then had to cancel my travel plans and come in first thing the next day for the retest. Appalling communication and organisation. Only go here if you want to waste your time.

Halfords has gone drastically downhill.Below is a review I wrote a few years ago, showing I was a happy customer for many years.I have since had a very poor experience with them, where their booking system was broken, their online agent booked me in for work that the garage didn't have time to do, delaying me for three weeks, quoted me an amount which was tripled when I got to the garage at 8am with a queue of people behind me, (with no time to arrange alternatives, after the delay).They then lied to me multiple times about the ways they would try to help after I reached out four or five times, only to turn around weeks later, and say "we messed up, but we're still going to do nothing."An exceptionally poor way of treating a loyal customer. I shan't be returning any time soon.***********************************Great communications throughout the whole experience, kept me informed on when vehicle would be ready, and phone manner from Amir was top notch. Driver side windscreen wiper stopped whilst on the A3 in the middle of storm Cieran. George and Oli literally saved the day by sorting (and as no parts needed, no charge). Legendary guys and exceptional service. Will be using them going forward. Thank you both.

Not Happy!I took my Ford Focus 2016 2.0 tdci for a DPF flush service and I was told that the thermostat was blown up in mid process and I need to pay over £600 for that!I tried to negotiate and contacted Halfords costumer services to raise the fact that the service centre should take responsibility as this happened in the process while in garage.Citizen advice clearly says that:You should ask the garage to fix any faults that:* weren?t repaired properly*weren?t correctly found*didn?t exist before you took the car to the garageHowever, I received negative response from Halford and it seemed a waste of time.As Halfords was asking for too much for replacing the thermostat and took no responsibility, I decided to do it somewhere else.All garages were busy for weeks so I decided to do it myself. I had to book a recovery to collect my car as it was already in a garage and RAC wouldn't do that. I spent £78 for recovery and £202.99 for thermostat and £29.79 for over flow hose to thermostat both genuine from ford (some parts they don't have on their website but you can find it on their official ford shop on eBay).The forced DPF procedure is not completely safe, so be warned !! I was told by other people who did the same job at Halfords that their thermostat starts to leak shortly after the DPF flush at Halfords and they had to replace it.The staff there were polite and I cannot comment on any other services that they provide. I gave one star as Halfords didn't take any responsibility for the problem that occurred in their service centre during the procedure that they were running and also for the fact that they were going to charge me excessively high price for that, a fairly easy job that I could do it myself!Unfortunately, my experience was only so much trouble and waste of time.What a shame!Services: Exhaust

took my car in to have the steering alignment done - after they finished it was even worse.They sent me a report with no mention of the steering measurements before of after.They did send me a burry photo of the tyres saying they were worn.New tyres were fitted the day before...Now taking elsewhere to be fixed properly

I was very pleased with the service, having been initially disappointed when my air conditioning could not be treated on Saturday at my home, as I had originally been told, I was very pleased with the service I had at Guildford and your team of George and Ivan provided excellent service, and I will certainly use those facilities again

Took our BMW X5 here in June (13 years old with 82k miles) for a service and MOT booked on the internet which was a special offer. Despite booking a slot first thing in the morning was told it wouldn?t be completed until after 5. The mechanics were unable to fix a fog light which needed replacing when they did the service. They could not tell me whether it would fail the MOT due to this issue which was causing a lights warning sign on the dashboard. Also they could not tell me whether they had noticed any issues whilst doing the service which were likely to cause an MOT failure. I asked them not to put in in for testing and I collected the car since I had no confidence that it would pass. The next day I took it to Barkers in Haslemere who with no fuss fixed the fog light and put it through the MOT which is passed.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I booked full services + mot. On the day on my services, they told me they have to fix the breaks. It wasnt done properly and I had to go back 2 days later to have it fixed properly. Mot couldnt be done on the day and they asked me to reschedule it. We rescheduled. I received a call this morning, telling that MoT cant be done. No refund offered. I had to go to the garage and argued to get my refund which is nothing cause it was include with the full service. This is a massive scam and i wont recommend this garage. Also the manager there is an awful person and he believes he is above the rest of us. He doesnt want to deal with his mistakes and blame you for it.Calling the customer service. This is the third time they dropped the call on me and I dont even talk after 10 mins of wait.
