Long queues. Extremely slow service. Long wating times. Coffee is ok, slighlty burnt. Pastries taste like bread. No Dine in cups or plates.

Costa management should be ashamed of short staffing such a busy location. It is really unfair on the staff who are there. No criticism of the staff, but working there must be very stressful due to the queues and (understandable?) impatience of the customers.

Located within the Royal Surrey, I was thoroughly disappointed with the service and cleanliness. The staff were unfriendly, which set the tone for the entire experience. I waited a staggering twenty minutes (and no, this is not an exaggeration) for two cappuccinos while one of the staff members was being trained. During this time, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the delay.
The worst part? After paying £8 and waiting for what felt like an eternity, the cappuccinos were absolutely disgusting. To top it all off, the coffee station where you get sugars and other essentials was filthy. It was evident that no one had bothered to wipe it down the entire day.
Considering that this place is located in a hospital lobby, you would think hygiene would be a priority. Unfortunately, that was far from the case. The staff seemed to be all young adults with no manager in sight, and the lack of oversight was glaring.
To put it bluntly, this was hell on earth. I won?t be returning, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place as well

Appalling service. Waited 15 min for my drinks and they weren?t even busy, and was served were watery frappes. They serve everyone else in the queue to batch drinks.

Appalling service rude gent on the till totally unorganised not once while waiting did any customer get a please or a thank you for any member of staff .Come on Costa for the prices you charge you can train your employees to at the very least smile any use common courtesy

10am / 19th April.I ordered the promotional deal for a discounted coffee and croissant before 11am, which was advertised on both the illuminated screens and on cards around the till.I was told by the manager that I couldn?t have the discounted promotional offer because they couldn?t enter it into the till.I hate to be a Karen about this, but it?s not ok to blatantly advertise something to customers that they can?t deliver. The manger?s response was that she couldn?t change the screen?? but the cards (which could be removed) were still up.It didn?t really feel like she?d tried very hard to sort it out and that it was just easier to tell customers they couldn?t have it.It?s not the £1.50 saving, it?s the principle.

Appalling customer service. This Costa boasts three big coffee machines but only one was in use, with a single barista making coffee. Lengthy queue to order, massive wait for coffee to be made, zero charm from staff. If this wasn?t the only coffee shop available, they would quite rightly go bust.

Shambles.Every coffee is a latte, doesn't matter what you order. They don't use the correct size cup for a flat white.Chaotic ordering process that turns into a free for all. Staff generally rude.
