I had a very unpleasant experience today at Caffe Nero in Guildford with one of the baristas.
First, she mocked my accent, which I found very disrespectful, but I chose not to confront her about it.
Secondly, I asked her to serve one of the drinks as a takeaway, but she ignored my request. When I reminded her, she angrily poured the drink into a takeaway cup.
Then, she gave me the wrong pastry. When I pointed it out, she changed it with clear irritation.
When I took the order to the table, I noticed there was only one fork for two people. This wasn?t a big issue as such things happen occasionally. However, when I returned to ask for another fork, I overheard her mocking me and talking about me in a dismissive and sarcastic manner with her colleague.
In a country with many immigrants, most of whom are well-educated and can easily identify rude and discriminatory behavior, this type of treatment is unacceptable. I believe Caffe Nero should be more careful in selecting their staff. Incidents like this tarnish the reputation of Caffe Nero in Guildford.

Hot chocolate and food was very good. Alas it was busy and took ages to get served. Could do with more staff.
As for the location. It's great but seriously needs some care and attention. It's grubby and not the nicest place to meet and spend your money.

I will never visit this branch of the caffe again. The staff who was girl was extremely slow and very rude. Highly disappointing experience.

Usually busy, but always manage to get a table inside, comfortable, relaxed, good service even when long queue usually served within 5 minutes, staff always polite and willing to help, only ever had drinks, not eaten here

Pretty grubby when I went in, all spare tables were just full of used cups and plates, so nowhere to sit that was clean. The bathroom was really awful and the food ( sausage roll ) was wrecked, presumably in a microwave. So white hot, that it was impossible to eat and when I finally made an attempt, it had no flavour whatsoever. I don't usually bother with big corporation coffee shops but my favourite local was closed on this day but this tells me never to use this kind of place again
