Not really sure on the negative reviews, first time visiting on Friday 23rd Feb and nothing but pure professionalism from Lucy, Jo and Kinga and the other lady but forgot your name (sorry) during my eye test. Due to getting headaches from prolonged computer usage, they gave a thorough eye test along with additional testing to be sure that my eyes were working as they should.Needed to some glasses with blue tint which I thought I would need, not expensive at all for the eye test and glasses plus boots points on top. Far better experience at Boots than Specsavers for example. All members of staff were polite throughout

All of the staff gave me a sense of their technical competence and were polite and friendly. The lady who carried out the consultation explained clearly how my eyes have developed since my last consultation and explained clearly how things are likely to develop. Her recommendations were clear and logical and I don't think I could have asked for a better service.

I returned to the store in Guildford due to a change of area manager. The previous area manager recommended that I attend Cranliegh due to the abust towards me by the manager at the Guildford branch.Unfortunately, when I arrived at the Guildford branch the abusive manager was in attendance, I had pre agreed that my visit to Guildford was conditional on Lucy not being present.I had a very prolonged eye test. It was very simple - the right eye lense was too strong and the left eye was too weak. After an exhausting session with the optician becoming increasingly impatient I decided it was best to just get the reading glasses and forget the bifocals and remain with the current prescription. I kept saying that I could not see with the new prescription and the letters were blurred, smudged and caused pain.When I came out Ryan told me there was nothing wrong with the prescription it was just that I didn't like the prescription and if I wore them my eyes would get used to it.I would like to know how Ryan can see through my eyes and why he was gaslighting me.He then took the lenses out and placed into my other frames and did a rushed fitting, which caused sores behind my ears and I had to attempt to re adjust myself. Ryan had to rush off to collect his children and told me he only had 10 minutes.I notice that there is a sign in your reception saying that abuse will not be tolerated - let me tell you this.. I do not tolerate abuse, gaslighting and damage to my health.Boots has a legal 'duty of care' to its customers and this complaint now needs to be escalated as you are vicariously liable for the behaviour of your employees who's behaviour is substandard.Today when I arrived your optician said 'SIT THERE'. She did not say, good afternoon - please have a seat.. Why are Boots employing such vile abusive staff?
