We have been to the Fox and Hounds many times but on this occasion the food was very poor.
Both my partner and I had the roast pork.
On the menu it said with crackling but no cracking was on either of our meals.
The Yorkshire was burnt and inside it looked like a muffin didn?t taste very nice.
We weren?t very impressed with the dinner it was very disappointing.

The pub garden in the back is lovely, and the staff was also lovely.
However, we were a group of 7, pre-booked (they knew we were coming) and it took 2 hours for food to arrive after we ordered and they weren?t even busy! The food wasn?t that great either - the roast?s gravy had a very odd detergent flavour at the end.

Very cute and tranquil garden in the back and the staff are very nice, but the food we had was very poor value for money and disappointing. I ordered the mature cheddar and red onion chutney baguette (being the only vegetarian option of sandwich) - there was no red onion chutney, only cheese inside the whitest coloured bread I had ever seen. Bread was also soft and had no crunch at all. And this cost £10.50?

Came for Sunday lunch however on arrival spotted the special board and opted for the steak and ale pie. It was lovely nice chunks of steak,new potatoes and veg. very filling
Had started of salt and pepper squid which was lovely and a good portion size.
Ate at about 3pm and can say 2 hours later still feel satisfied. Great value for money. Friendly staff and great pub.Just gutted didn't manage dessert.

Went here for Sunday lunch. The food was lovely, the sever was lovely, however we were in there for 2 hours for a two course meal.
We ordered at about 12:30, but the roast didn?t arrive for at least 40 minutes if not longer, then we were waiting for ages for plates to be cleared before we could order pudding.
Again another wait for the puddings to arrive, the key lime pie and the banoffee pie were still frozen when they were served to us.
Throughout our time there other tables were seated and had ordered but they were all looking puzzled as to why it was taking so long.
I don?t think it was the servers fault, she was lovely and very apologetic.
Total meal cost £107 for 3 people. Not a terrible place to eat, if you?ve got time on your hands.

Very disappointed by the food. The sausage was dry, roast barely had gravy and what's called famous burger was a raw bun with beef patty and cheese, no sauce, no lettuce or anything else. Chips were good. The lady serving the table was very nice however the wait for the food was extremely long considering the place was empty. Lovely atmosphere with a fire place. Was expecting something way better. The prices are also indicating higher quality then it actually is.

Cracking country pub. Walked in on a November Saturday PM to an open fire, friendly barman, nice selection of proper beers, and real pub decor. Keep it up!

Sunday lunch booking with only a few people in. But had to wait for drinks and service, table cloth was stained, meat seemed reheated, Yorkshire pudding burnt, and disappointing vegetables, very over cooked. Generally a disappointing meal for the cost!

A proper lovley country pub. I had a fantastic meal - really hot and fresh.. Was super proud of the young blonde waitress who served us. She was left running the show on her own and dealing with two large parties. Would definitely go back!
