I came to this pub on sunday for a roast, and can I just say I was absolutely blown away. Everything was perfect! We had the T-bone steak, which came with all the sides a normal roast does, and two roast beefs. All of the dishes were cooked to perfection! The environment was buzzing from the moment we walked into the door! We were greeted by a lovely smile and got seated almost instantly! Our lovely server Maia made sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole meal, we never felt we had to catch her attention. To sum it up this is an excellent pub with excellent food, will definitely be returning!

Fantastic pub hidden away in the Surrey Hills. We came here before our walk (for coffee) and after for lunch as the menu sounded so good! Staff and service was perfect! The right balance of friendly and professional. A friend of ours said they came a while ago and it had recently been under new management so all I can say is bravo! Keep doing what you're doing and we'll be back. For a chilly lunchtime, the pub was packed so it's working clearly!

Hats off to Youngs for allowing super host Tom to go off-piste and offer a local tasting menu evening. Called the ten mile menu, courses comprised local meat, fish, veg and herbs all within a 10 mile radius of the beautifully positioned White Horse in Hascombe. Dishes nicely prepared by Chef Ben and proficiently served. A well considered wine flight helped a convivial and lively discussion with other guests. Can?t wait for the next event!

What a pub! We came for my birthday a few days ago with friends and family and were seated in a beautiful old part of the pub with lovely brick floors. The staff were excellent and the atmosphere was so alive. My sister had her daughter with her and they happily provided suitable seating and fed her first to keep her happy which was a nice touch. I had prawn and crayfish mousse for starter and a steak from the specials board for my main course and it was faultless. Probably one of the best cooked steak I can remember. I don't live too close but my sister lives in the village and I will insist of returning every time I visit. Absolutely beautiful little hidden gem!

Have been here on several occasions, often for a dog walk followed by Sunday lunch. Took my sister this time and she loved it. The most excellent roast dinners and the boys loved their food too. Friendly and efficient service as well. Thank you ?

Went to the white horse for a Sunday lunch the food was amazing roast potatoes where crispy yet soft in the middle we had the roast beef was cooked really well still lovely and pink in the middle and the veg wa great but most of all the gravy was incredible dark and rich also love how they do the trimming side (extra yorkie,cauli cheese and a pig in blanket. Was looked after by Tom and he mentioned the chefs in the kitchen benoir and Daleoir. great work guys we really enjoyed ourselves

Super cosy pub with quaint decor. Hospitality at its best, with delicious cuisine. Consistently good and would highly recommend.

Cosy pub in the Country side, this is a little gem. If you are looking for excellent quality food and great service this is the place, we had a steak and Rissotto meals which were delicious and the service and ambience were excellent. I would highly recommend the White Horse and will definitely be going back.

A really lovely evening spent in the pub last night. A relaxed, festive atmosphere created by Dave, Ed, Mia and Freddy. Initial drinks a tad slow to come out but this was made up for with delicious Whitebate, followed by 4 main courses, Shitake burger, Pork Belly, Bass and a Burger. So glad to see this pub back ?up there? as places to go to. It has varied so much over the years we have lived in Godalming, definitely now a place to return to.

Been before and had an amazing time but visited for the first for a Sunday roast and it couldn?t have been better! Visited as a table of 6, the service from the moment we arrived was so friendly and we did not wait for anything. The food was by far the best roast dinner I have had in a restaurant, the beef was amazing and the pork my friend had looked just as good. Will definitely be returning!

We have been visiting the White Horse in Hascombe for a while, particularly when it was an independently owned and always a great food experience. This was our first visit since it became part of the Youngs group. The food was very average to say the least. Two of us had Gammon, Eggs and Chips. The eggs were cooked like rubber and the gammon was dry and tasteless. However one of the meals was the special of Turbot. That was sent back as it was the smallest, boniest piece of fish we had ever seen - especially for £28! To be fair to the pub, they did take this item off the bill. The other courses were alright but nothing memorable to comment on. Service was OK but had to remind them several times of our wine order. Overall the experience was very disappointing. Unlikely to return in the near future, which is a pity.

Had an absolutely excellent Sunday Lunch last weekend with some friends for a festive catch up. The beef was the best I?ve ever had and flooded with a really rich gravy and loads of veggies.Staff were perfect even though the place was packed! Tom talked us through wines to match our food and the food was delicious.The table next to us had a large sharing steak which looked incredible so we booked again for Christmas Eve for more amazing Sunday food and hopefully one of those steaks if there are any left!Excellent pub. Keep up the great work. Miles better than it was this time last year.
