Great experience for eye test and choosing new glasses. Ophthalmologist was friendly and made me feel relaxed and in good hands. Then his colleague was really nice and she didn?t mind giving opinion on my glasses choices. Lovely local Specsavers! So much more personable than other places.

Only reason 4star is because there is no water machine and on a hot day this would have been very nice!

I had a bad experience with Spec Savers Godalming and left a negative review on here! So I was asked to get in touch with them and the experience this time was so different, they could not help enough got my eyes re checked and glasses changed to correct lens. I guess it shows if something goes wrong it is how the company deals with it after to rectify the problem. So changed rating to 5 stars now.

Tried so many times to get a decent service from them but the only way to contact them is by going directly into the store and waiting up to an hour for a service- doesn't matter if you go during the week or weekend or if there are 5 or 15 people in the shop - the staff never seem to be in any hurry to help people. I phoned them twice today, and despite hanging on the phone for 20 mins per call and in a queue, I got cut off. Even when I went into the store, I noticed the phone ringing and ringing with no one stopping to pickup and answer it.
I ordered contacts weeks before, and despite being assured by the store manager that they would take 3 - 4 days max to arrive, here I am 2 weeks later with nothing g to show for it. The store franchise manager even offered to give me a set of lenses with the wrong prescription because the correct ones just had not turned up and no-one on their end had bothered to chase the order.
Now I'm about to go abroad with no lenses for the wedding I hoped to wear them at, with the snarky assistant who was supposed to helping me saying that she could always post them out to Japan if I wanted. I can't even trust them to get them to me at my home address less than a mile away!
I'm prepared and desperate enough to just buy my own lenses at an online store but because I need to ask them to send me my prescription and they won't pick up the phone in their branch, I have to wait till next weekend when I should be packing to go to the store directly for my prescription....at which point it will be too late to order them anywhere else.
I am so sick of the rubbish service at this store that I think I'll be cancelling my standing order of several years with them. The opticians may be good, but the sales team and store managers couldn't give a damn about their patients.

Went in to book a hearing test, and they took details to say someone would call, but they didn't, so I ended up booking online . Unfortunately they could not perform the test, but that was not their fault. Service when I arrived for the test was good though.
