Stock outages are better than they used to be. Pricing is set to slightly undercut nearby Waitrose... You'll find other Sainsbury's stores where there is an Aldi or Llidl nearby are cheaper.

Average supermarket goods with prices on the top end, compared to others e.g. Tesco, whose goods are every bit as good but more competitively priced. Since Sainsbury's bought out Asda, they use comparisons of price for some items but not universally valid.

I wish that Godalming will have a better and bigger supermarket as I hardly shop in Sainsbury's Godalming as there never is anything on the shelfs some staff member need hygiene course and rude staff the shop needs a complete overhaul and seems this will not happened this is why I always shop at Waitrose better service and they always have the shelfs stocked

Smart Shop.... what a waste of time!! Shelves..... mostly empty...... offers likewise!! Probably left in the warehouse where I feel most of the staff hide!! Car wash..... RARELY in operation...... So why Bother at this store..... Come on TESCO and bring Godalming some much needed reasonably priced Good Service!!Edit 14/10/23..... Still an absolute joke in this store!! Expect empty shelves of the most popular products, and if you "Smart Shop" expect a long wait for any authorisation if you buy age related products...... NEVER enough staff to assist!Sainsburys Godalming you should be ashamed of yourselves and hang your heads in shame!! ?

My review is only related to my online food shopping. It is not in any way a reflection of the rest of SainsburysAs an elderly and disabled person I rely on my food delivery to provide me with food I can eat for the week; I am unable to go shopping myself.Repeatedly, I am provided with food that is out of date on the day of delivery or will be the next day. Very rarely do I receive food that has more than a couple of days shelf life.This means there is huge amount of wastage. I usually spend £120 to £130 a week on food I often have to throw away.I would think it would be fairly obvious that a large proportion of online food shoppers are elderly people and that if you are choosing food items for them that you would be aware they would need to be able to eat for the whole week. Whilst selecting items that you would choose ones that would last as long as possible. I have also found little thought is given to the packing. When I order delicate items like deserts you would not expect heavy items to be piled on top. I had may family coming 2 days after my last order, the 2 lemon tarts I ordered for them were smashed to bits and not edible. This is a constant problem. I have also often received rotten fruit and vegetables.It is not possible for me to take them back so all I can do is throw them away.I have to highly commend your drivers, they have all been so kind and helpful. All helping to bring in the food for me as I would not be able to carry it from the door. As everything has to be unpacked so quickly as I am taking the drivers time it doesn't leave me time to examine the state of the items delivered. Having said that I am truly graceful for the amount of help the drivers give me. I hope the general manager will read this review and provide additional training to the personal food shoppers + give a pat on the back to the drivers.

Ordered double duvet cover online, on picking it up they hadn't had the item so replaced it with a similar item.....two single duvet covers!!!
