I am a student at the college and this used to be my favourite cafe to sit and do my work in. I went in on my birthday to join my friends who were sitting upstairs, since I booked for a restaurant in town an hour later (there were 6 of us). We sat down for a second and one of the members of staff told us to buy something or leave, which was reasonable, however his attitude was not pleasant. Me and one of my friends went to buy something and he proceeded to tell my other friends to leave in a very rude and passive aggressive way. 3 of my friends went to get something from their cars and when they returned the same member of staff literally turned them away at the door, despite one of them purchasing food earlier. Bear in mind it was freezing and getting dark outside, with still 20 minutes till our booking. We decided to leave to be with our friends who got turned away and the man started counting us as we walked out and then said ?that?s all of them? as if we were causing trouble? All we did was sit down for my birthday. Very disappointed that my favourite cafe has been ruined for me, especially as it was my birthday. Won?t be returning soon.

Staff at the café today, in Godalming Caffè Nero (4th December, 4pm) were extremely friendly and accommodating. Could not praise them more for their great efforts; I was struggling with my newborn, trying to feed, etc, and they were so helpful trying to sort me out too!
Noemi is great as always but in particular Dom who despite serving other customers, would check up on us in between serving to ensure we were ok.
Thank you guys!
Kid-friendliness: There are baby changing facilities and various areas to feed baby or bring kids to meet with friends and family. Staff always very accommodating, offering to refill the baby bottles!

Sam is fantastic!! He is friendly and professional, and makes every visit memorable!
He recommended the Brazil single origin, which I love, as well as the winter blend earlier this year, both delicious coffees!
Because of the wonderful experience, I always make an effort to visit the Godalming Caffè Nero whenever I can! Thank you Sam!

Cafè Nero is a lovely cozy cafe with really nice people. It?s a nice place to take the kids;
With lovely food and good drinks, now I know why they called the special menu special! Nero, nothing can beat you!
