I hadn't eaten at the Elaichi for many years because I felt that the quality of food had declined considerably in comparison with what was served when the restaurant first opened. However, having heard that it was under new management, I thought that I would give Elaichi another try and was pleased that I did. The service was efficient and the staff were very polite. The new owners have several other Indian restaurants and had brought in chefs from one of these properties on a pro temps basis, with the new chefs apparently due to arrive soon from Dubai.
The party that I was with had hoped to order lamb chops as a starter, but these were unavailable. Instead, we had chicken and lamb tikkas, and these were really nicely cooked. The shashlik mains were a little on the small size but were tender and very well spiced. Also, the tarka dhal was one of the best that I have tasted.
Prices at Elaichi are currently very reasonable, and I am looking forward to trying the food here again when the new chefs arrive.

Been going to Elaichi for a good few years, they usually have great curry's, but disappointed with them this time round. Ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala and it was effectively chicken in cream of tomato soup, lacked flavour and had a watery consistency. Will not be going back.

One lovely waiter and one very grumpy waiter. Unfortunately we didn't see much of the former.
Our whole group had a feeling that we were in the way and it was a pain us being there. No high chair for the little one and in general very bad vibes.
That being said 2 of the 3 dishes we ordered were very nice and the final one was wayy too sweet. It tasted like a desert.
With a different waiter it could have been a very different experience.

It was our 10th wedding anniversary and we?re both very busy at work, Being a week night and shattered we wanted to celebrate but be close by to walk to and walk back home. Walked into frimley town and walked in and no prior booking, service was great, mo was our host and lovely, he recommended stuff and went out of his way to recommend stuff after our original waiter had take our order and suggested stuff that was brilliant and given to us free of charge to try and learn. We have now found our new fav curry place and given this area it?s shocking for good places to eat! We were very happy! Had a lovely meal and will be back for my birthday in December! Thank you Mohamed. Food was amazing!!! Staff great and would recommend to everyone x

Simply the best ! Curry is my favourite food and with work I travel all over the country. So I experience nearly every week the good,bad and indifferent curry restaurants. This is simply the best I have visited this year. The food is outstanding as is the service so good I went back the next evening.

I needed to use the ladies desperately, I was quickly ushered in, I then ordered a bottle of water as a thank you and the manager/ owner insisted on it being on the house!!I haven't eaten here but based on their incredible kindness I will honestly suggest everyone pop in a vist! I couldn't even imagine how wonderful they treat their paying guests!!Thank you!
