Really nice, traditional village pub. Also have a coffee shop on site that opens early for cyclists and ramblers like me. Lovely garden. We were made so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Great place.

This is our second visit in a couple of weeks. The first was a busy Saturday in the garden, when everyone was stretched but they were doing really well. Delicious sandwiches and decent beer. Today was a leisurely Tuesday Lunch inside after a walk. Friendly staff and food, again, a cut above accompanied by more tasty ales. Recommended

Great pub in a lovely location.

Great setting on the river Wey in an excellent beer garden. Right beside the village cricket green so all very picturesque.
Burger was very nice, chips tasted a bit like they?d been cooked in old oil but basically fine.
Took 1hr to get food after ordering, on what didn?t look to be a particularly busy day. Far too long and massively detracted from the experience.

Great meal and lovely location, plus little latte cafe next door. Plus cricket match with added jeopardy of balls hitting cars....

The bar food is wonderful and generous portion too, if you're lucky you may get to watch a game of cricket or wade with the ducks in the river nearby.

Just had a drink this time, have been here before, on our many visits from Edinburgh.

Pizza, the River Thames, good beer and service and cricket (sometimes). What's not to love?! If any of these things appeal, give it a try. If none of these things appeal, give it a try and see what you like.

Lovely pub in the summer with a nice garden that has a coffee shop, hut for pizzas and an outdoor bar selling burgers.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here last weekend, the food was tasty and the staff friendly and attentitive. It was British Summer time so there were a few pesky wasps but we had great fun trying to hit them with tea-towels whilst not sending our food and drink flying.
The mackerel pate was particularly good. It was just a shame that there wasn?t a cricket game to watch while we were there.

Why I gave 1 star?
I went in around 3pm on a Saturday to order some snacks while having a drink with a friend. I politely asked the woman at the counter if I could get some chips, chicken or something vegetarian.
She didn?t speak to me. Instead, she turned to her staff and said, ?Tell him the kitchen is closed and ask if he wants a burger.? I was right there.
It made me feel invisible and unwanted. I walked out in shock without saying a word. On Sunday ie today while I am writing this review days that moment is still revolving in my head. It felt cold, rude, and honestly, like I wasn?t welcome.
I don't know why she behaved me that way. Is it because I am brown. God knows why ?
