I can't praise Cathy highly enough for the help and time she has given me in ensuring that the items I donated were suitable for the shop and could be picked up by the van. Having been let down by another charity who collects furniture, it was reassuring to talk to Cathy who knows what she is doing. Thank you so much!

Rude and Ungrateful. While trying to drop off a few items before work that had been sorted and boxed including books, and china, I was interrupted by a woman who simply said, ?we?re not open?. Box in arms, I said ?sorry?? She replied ?we?re not open, you?ll have to come back after 0930?. I said, ?I have to work? and she replied ?We?re open Sunday, actually, if you leave it now, it?s classed as fly tipping!? I said ?so you don?t want this stuff?? And she replied ?we?re not open?.
It is bad enough to have wasted my time in trying to help these people, but the complete lack of manners exhibited by this rude, unpleasant and ungrateful woman was the crowning glory. Manners, like charitable gifts are free, because the woman at Sue Ryder Farnham is lacking in the former she will also be missing out on the latter from me.
It is worth noting a few things, first, the woman was there, so presumably could have taken the donation, secondly, there is an yard behind the shop with access to their back doors that they presumably use for deliveries, adjacent to this and right by their back door, is an area to put stuff out of the way, with no harm done to anyone.
For shame Sue Ryder!

In short rather a shambles. I arranged a donation of a king size mattress in perfectly good condition and with fire resistant labelling as per the instruction on the SR website. A collection was booked for today 3/12 and 3 texts were received the last at 8.28am saying I was the next van collection be with you shortly. I waited an hour, no show so phoned the shop. To be told they don't take beds or mattresses!!! Didn't have the good grace to phone me so could have waited in all day. So if they don't take beds why does the website say they do it would save an awful lot of wasted time.

Shameful, bigoted rhetoric espoused by staff members on the shop floor. Made my stomach churn.
I am a local and adore Farnham's charity shops and had always supported Sue Ryder's store. However, I can no longer in good concoious frequent this location or recommend it to anyone.

Lovely store. Shame some staff like to call people who donate fly tippers. Next time I'll send it to the skip ?

Left two bags of good donations by the entrance to the back as the staff were busy. A woman came out and shouted at us because we hadn?t ?announced? they were donations - it was pretty obvious. Turned a nice thing my daughter and I were doing into a horrid situation and made my daughter cry. I don?t care if this woman is a volunteer she should NOT be working in your shop. Raise thousands for charities each year but won?t be raising for Sue Ryder if this is how people are treated. Plenty of other charity shops in Farnham we can donate to!

Their website says " to donate, drive to the back of the store and you will be greeted with a smile"!! The woman that "greeted" us was miserable and rude. She made us feel she was doing us a favour by accepting our donations. Why work at a charity shop when you don't like people?A fantastic charity that relies on donations so why have people working there that put you off donating? I have donated to Sue Ryder many times in the past but, sadly, I will go elsewhere in future.

This place is a joke. Tried to give them a number of perfectly working and clean furniture, for FREE, so they can sell for charity to the less fortunate. But no. The rude assistant manager was quick to shoo me away in the car park like a child and confirmed no one would take it. 10 mins down the road they were more than happy to accept my donation. Terrible place, even worse staff.

I cannot express how upset I was visiting this shop. My lovely mother who has Altsheimers has just moved into the most fabulous home and had to leave the majority of her clothes behind. She was a Model in her early days and her clothes were all of a good quality.I visited the shop to ask if they were accepting bags of clothes and that they were of a good quality. The most unfeeling and insensitive human being there replied with ?well, I don?t care what?s in the bags and I don?t know if I have space, if they are bin bags they?ll need to be tied up and clothes clean?. Both my husband and I were so taken aback at what this woman said and the way she said this. This was my mother?s life, discarded by cruel comments. On the way to the car to get the bags I was so angry I decided that Sue Ryder in Farnham were not good enough to receive them.I went down the road to The British Heart Foundation and said the exact same to the lovely lovely lady there who said they would be so happy to take them and that it must be so hard for me having to do this. I cried in the shop.Recommendation - no brainier - avoid this shop and donate your things to British Heart Foundation instead. If any Sue Ryder Farnham employee reads this - it has been escalated to Heidi Travis who has assured us, by personal email, that it will be looked into.
