Food was average and not big enough portions - won?t be returning anytime soon!

We recently spent a couple of nights here. We had booked a family room but were upgraded to two adjoining rooms. Very much appreciated. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and very quiet (except for the heavy rain battering the roof in the night and the Victorian plumbing when the toilet was flushed.) The bar was cosy and we were able to sit outside in the evening. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice. The staff were always attentive and polite and pleasant to deal with. We'll definitely consider staying at the Bush again. The only issue (and it's a small one) is that the entrance to car park is quite well disguised and is easy to miss in Farnham's one-way system.

Check in was seamless and staff were very friendly. Rooms were well appointed and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfasts are very good, only thing they forgot was the bottle of Prosecco we pre-purchased. Beautiful location and great facilities. Highly recommended. .

A lovely hotel in a perfect location with the benefit of a beautiful garden perfect for drinks / book reading outside away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town. Spotless rooms. Friendly welcoming staff.

A wonderful boutique-style hotel. The staff are always friendly and rooms are always clean and comfortable. I've been staying here for 15 years on business and have always found the atmosphere to be relaxing and the other guests friendly. The bar is a nice touch with knowledgeable bar staff. One feature that has disappeared over time is the check-in drinks voucher. This tended to help the guests gravitate to the bar before heading out for dinner. Bringing it back would be a good idea. No elevator could be a hard 'no' for some but I'm sure staff would be willing to help if asked. There are only 2 upstairs floors and for those that can't or won't stay up there, there are always the ground floor garden rooms with that wonderful garden view and garden access, or the courtyard rooms with their ease of access to the shops. Being across the road from a large Sainsbury's supermarket, those of us from outside the U.K can get all our shopping needs done without a taxi, even if it means wheeling a shopping trolley back to the hotel like yesterday. Easy- peasy. 100% will stay again. And again.

The female bruiser behind the bar might want to wind her neck in a bit if you are looking for return custom. Only went in for a tea and coffee and got immediate attitude. We walked out and went for a decent brew round the corner, where they actually welcomed us without appearing to be sucking a lemon simultaneously. The new oka e was busy too.

This hotel was like a confused Premier Inn meets independent hotel The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was disappointingly mediocre and chaotic, mainly self service, with eggs made to order arriving at random times. Coffee from a machine was awful. The bar had disco music pm and a big television screen on am. On the plus side there was free parking and pretty grounds. Boutique it is not, but OK for an overnight stay.

Pleasant surroundings - trees and lawn edge areas adjoining the bar area allowing relaxing times. Private off street parking, friendly and helpful staff and efficient service. Highly recommend. Would happily stay here again

They hate customers. I parked my car in the car park and registered it with reception. Nevertheless, they got their private outsourced parking company to issue a fine and chase me with baillifs. When they finally backed down they didn't have the good grace to apologise. Don't stay here.

I stayed for two nights in one of the ground floor garden rooms. Lovely view over the garden and far enough away from the bar/patio area that any noise did not disturb me (I was in 110 - the lower numbers are closer to the bar). Having the patio door and outside table was lovely, although sadly, the wet weather meant I didn't use it much. If you like having a window open while you sleep, you'd be better off booking another room - the garden rooms on the ground floor have just the patio door. Decent sized walk-in shower, and plenty of room for toiletries in the bathroom. I dislike places that don't provide enough room for you to put out your bits and pieces! The shower gel and other toiletries provided were nice, too. The room was a good temperature, and the bed was super comfortable. The pillows were a little thin, but there were spares in the wardrobe. Breakfast both days was great - a good range of continental items, and plenty of choice on the cooked-to-order menu (Saturday) and hot buffet (Sunday). The restaurant staff are quite young (as other reviewers have mentioned) but they were all very polite, appeared to be well-trained, and could not be more helpful. The hotel is incredibly well situated for the town centre. There's a lovely independent book shop almost over the road from the entrance on The Borough (The Blue Bear Bookshop) which also does good coffee and has knowledgeable and interested staff. The books are all shrink-wrapped (in recyclable materials) so they haven't been mauled, which I like. There's also a very nice bakery on Castle Street (Gail's) which does a yummy smoked salmon bagel and delicious little honey cakes. Their coffee is good, too, as is the service.

Visiting Farnham 4 times a week, we saw a board advertising Sunday Lunch.Only their second week, but what a lovely lunch and venue. We started with a Prawn Cocktail and Chicken Liver Pate, followed by Roast Beef and trimmings.Beautiful Yorkshires and a lovely selection of Vegetables, so much that we couldn't manage puddings. We shall certainly return every couple of weeks so that we can try the Fish and other options. Well done to the 'NEW BUSH'
